I know this may seem short compared to America's $70million opening but consider this: Ireland has a population UNDER 5 million people. Out of that, us Irish Twi-hards managed to make Twilight the number 1 film in the country and as of now Twilight has grossed over a million in just three weeks. Not bad considering the population size compared to other countries. Don't believe me: click here: http://www.irishfilmboard.ie/boxoffice/ I know this seems trivial to most but I just thought that I'd throw it out there that Ireland too contributes a little to Twilight's success and that the fans here have managed to make it the number 1 film during its opening weekend just like the American fans!
