Larry Carroll is back for this edition of Twilight Tuesday with an interview with Catherine Hardwick and how she was caught up in the love story in "Twilight". The MTVMovieBlog also talks with her about other films that she has worked on and how deeply immersed she becomes in her work.
AOL is featuring "Twilight" as one of 28 upcoming movies to see. The list includes movies such as the much anticipated DeNiro and Pachino film "Righteous Kill," Keira Knightly’s "The Dutchess," and the DiCaprio action thriller "Body of Lies." It seems that "Twilight" is in some good company there!
And speaking of the film… we have some good news for fans in England! The release date for "Twilight" has been moved up to Dec. 19. Check out the Stephenie Meyer UK website for details.

Twilight is definitely in good movie company. I can’t wait for Nov. 21st!!!!
december 18th! yay! now i get to see it this year!
That’s funny, I just the AOL/Moviefone thing before I came on the Lex
It’s December 19th.
Did you actually go to stepheniemeyer.co.uk ?
yesssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!! My summer has finally been made. Thanks Lex!
cool!
So maybe there is still some hope for us German ones…
Why does the UK get almost everything after the US? *cries* I suppose it could be a lot worse though.
Whooo, thank goodness they saw sense! Can’t wait for twlight now, thoguh i suspect I’ll be going to see the film by myself – none of my friends have read the books and those who have don’t like them as much as me.
Ah well.
Yayyyyyyyyy
I’m really happy about that =]
2 days before the end of school term (am I gonna wiat? nooo)
if I’m not in school on that day you’ll know where I am ;]
anyone youtube-ing the mtv video of Catherine Hardwick?
It’s Dec 19th, not 18th. Just in case you are in Europe and planning on flying to the UK for the movie (as I am).
I agree to you, jummmmi.. I think there’s at least a chance for us to get it this year, too.
I’m so sorry for the countries who have to wait. It’s kind of a spoiler in a way. You all get to see how the movie does here first.
Yes! December 19th!
January just seemed too far away! It’s still later than the US, but i’ll just have to avoid twilight sites for a couple of weeks for reviews and stuff.
YAYYYYYYY!!! What a lovely Christmas present. I plan to go alone so that there is nothing or noone to distract me the first time I see the film. Other UK Twilighters plz join my facebook group – it’s called UK/Ireland Twilighters. Let’s show everyone over here what they’re missing.
It;s actually December 19th guys! lol go on the link.
But YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS us brits get it in Dec nice one
Being spoilered is not the problem.. knowing that others can already see it while we have to wait two months is the worst thing about it. :/
I think the idea of shooting New Moon and Eclipse back to back is really great! I wonder how Breaking Dawn will enter into that equation though…
Also, how cute is Catherine Hardwicke? Haha.
I’m going to go on ahead and assume they placed Ireland in with the UK as they always do and if so-YAY!!! That’s way better than having to wait until 2009. *sigh* Happiness
I’m happy for everyone who’s celebrating this earlier release date.
I have a training day on the 19th! I get to go to the first showing now!
i am so happy that us brits get it on the 19th december, this is going to be the best christmas ever
Yay! We no longer have to wait til January!
Check out the new twilight-related blog at:

Thanks!
shouldnt it be -
and there is good news for fans in the UK.
because not all of us british fans live in england…..
but anyway….
wahoooooooooooooo
im so happy we are getting it early, i couldnt possibly wait until january !!!
yes!!! UK finally woke up!!!! I’m assuming that it’ll be the same here in Ireland… Wooo! That’s the last day of the term I’m gonna go see the movie immediately after school!!!!!
seriously, UK people – QUIT WHINING. you always get Harry Potter before us. It’s not that big of a deal. It’s time we got to have the advantage for once.
Kat – actually, we got the last HP on the same day.
I’m assuming you’re American?
Then you get EVERYTHING before us.
And I mean EVERYTHING.
Prince Caspian? About 2 months later over here.
Dark Knight, one month.
Anyway.
DECEMBER 19TH!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
no one is really whining, everyone is actually HAPPY that its coming out earlier, the people who said they wish it would come out the same as the US are only stating an opinion, and so what if we get harry potter first. you get twilight and we get harry potter first, there i think we are even dont you?
kristina i agree with you, we never have an advantage
we are just really lucky to get it in december because i definately could not wait until january !!
The UK is not just called England. I’m Scottish and almost freaked out that England was getting the film before me. Next time take into consideration those who don’t just live in England. There’s Scotland, Ireland and Wales as well you know.
On the other hand. YES! It’s coming almost a month earlier!
haha caty, thats exactly what i said, im welsh and it annoys me when they say ‘england is getting…..’ because the UK is not called england ! its the united kingdom
Yea no one is complaining!!!!!
Honestly everyone is just happy that they will get it sooner!! Kat (if you are American) then weren’t you happy when you found out that we got it in November instead of December?
And I’m happy for all the UK peoples!!!!
French kiss?
I’m all for it, but it doesn’t exactly sound canon compliant.
Wow Kat. Nobody was whining.
People from the UK, don’t worry we ARE happy for you here in the US.
y’know the U.K is made up of more than England and there is Twilight fans in the other countries too :O
That’s such good news for the UK fans!
I am so glad that Catherine is directing this, she seems to really enjoy the essence of the story so it appears that she may have captured it on screen.
I can’t wait until it comes out, I think I may go see a coupla times and hope, with fingers tightly crossed that they make the rest of them.
I really wanna see the Wolves, Volturi and Newborn army, and hopefully, Renesmee eventually.

Don’t want to sound rude, but some of the english users here are right. I’m from Portugal and I know how awful it is to get things MONTHS later just cause you live in a different country. Especially in Europe. USA are royalty and the rest of the world just isn’t. Sorry but it’s true. People can’t help but feel that way.
That said, I love America. Don’t hurt me!
this is cool. but in the september 8th issue of people magazine is an article featuring stephenie. i just wanted to share the awesome news
Why would UK people be sooo happy if its going to take longer for the movie.
Don’t you want it sooner.
they saved the best movie for last!!!!!!!!!!
Kristen Stewert is going to appear on the MTV music video awards on Sunday at 9:00pm
September 7, 2008
Loving the french kissing! Lucky UK! Now lets see if Germany switches also. Last but not least, a 90-95 minute movie! Hell yes!
I am sooo happy for you UK. people. Don’t worry i know that there is Scotland, Wales, and Ireland in the UK 2. But I’m happy you guys don’t have to wait until 2009.
Hopefully they come around for the rest of the world, because being Twilight deprived is just a sin.
I agree with all these posts – the U.K has three other countries beside England. But I’m so happy!! I just wish it could be moved up for all other countries as well. It was horrible knowing I had to wait till 2009!
Catherine Hardwick is certainly excited
I hope Twilight wins an oscar for something…maybe music(?)-hopeful-
Carla-We tend to get Hollywood movies in North America(yes, Canada usually gets them on the same date as us because of geography)because the biggest movie-going population is here. The production comanies are about money, not making people happy, so they show it where they think they’ll make the highest gross first. But no, it isn’t very fair.
I’m still waiting for British indie films that came out two years ago to be released in the US. I can’t even order it online because apparently dvd players have different region codes. It’s a weird system for everyone
I’m really sorry to also point this out, because so many others have done.
But please, for future reference, try and remember England does not equal the UK?
Sorry, it’s just one of my pet peeves!
Like in American films, they’re like “oh, so-and-so is BRITISH” and then the character always has a southern English accent.
Wow, I’m really off point, sorry!
Mary Alice Cullen – we’re happy because the original date was looking to be end of January/beginning of February, so this is great news for us!
