I thought of summarizing this, but in the end, I think this fan’s word’s speak for themselves.
We arrived at Benaroya Hall at about 6:30 -the event started at 7:00-. This is of course after I spent the last hour changing into my costume and putting on make up in the parking garage across the street. But you don`t want to hear about that. Walking across the street to get to the hall is 5 minutes of my life I will NEVER forget. It is burned into my mind forever. Just imagine you are a typical everyday Seattle pedestrian. Minding your own business, waiting to cross a crosswalk. Then suddenly you look to your left side. Low and behold, a 6ft tall teenage girl is dressed up in a huge fuzzy lamb costume, ears and all. You would stare, right? Well, I`m surprised I didn`t cause any traffic accidents, judging by how many drivers were gawking out their windows.Eventually we walked into the hall`s lobby. Excited and flushed, I raced to the back of the line -this was preassigned seating, so the line was just to walk into the main hall-. Then I looked around. Approximately 2,500 people were in that line. 2,500 people, and from what I could see, I was the ONLY person in costume. This had no effect on me. I was not bothered or embarrassed. More "Whatever!" about the whole situation.
Well people took to the costume really, really well. Lots asked for photos. Comments were made about how well done and cleaver it was. It turned lots of heads and got groups of people laughing. I felt like a Disney Princess.
By the time it was almost my turn to get my book signed, I was more nervous then a tourist walking into the Volturi tower. What is she thinks it`s really weird? Stupid? Doesn’t notice it AT ALL?. I took a coupe deep breaths, made sure my ears were straight, and walked up to the table where Stephenie was signing. She had her eyes down on a book, finishing it up for the person in front of me. Her assistant was the first to look up. She started laughing hysterically. My mind was racing. Be cool, act normal, friendly is key. Stephenie peeked up to her assistant wondering what had happened to her. Then her head turned to me. She let a huge "Oh my GOD!", covered her mouth, and grinned. "You`re the first lion-lamb costume I have ever seen!". "I wish I had a camera" the assistant mumbled. I was so overwhelmed. She likes it! She likes it! I got SM to say "Oh m god!". My semi-eloquent vocabulary left me stranded, as I stuttered the words "Thanks, you`re awesome!"……seriously?…..Thanks you`re awesome? My mind balks at the fact that I had more then an hour in line, time to think and to plan what glorious insightful words I would say to this woman. And I come up with "Thanks, you`re awesome!"?……*bangs head against wall*
But overall it was amazing.
Justin played beautifully. I cried, I am such a sap.
Stephenie was as sweet as ever. Giving insightful, interesting answers to the many questions that were asked.
Getting my book signed and meeting Stephenie was priceless. I will remember that even better then I remember walking across the street, into Benaroya Hall.

I remember seeing her at Benaroya during the stupid costume parade thing they held to kill time before the host-person totally ditched us XD
Awww the report was awesome. How cool is that? I’m glad you got such a reaction out of Stephenie! Yay =] The most creative costume I’ve seen since last October, bwahaha! XD
Seattle was probably just wondering if Sakura-Con came early this year. You think they looked shocked when they see one girl dressed as a sheep, but they are in horror when they see thousands of people dressed as anime characters! Way cute costume though!
best costume idea ever!
oh that’s amazing! =D
i wish i’d been there earlier so i could’ve seen it. we got there right before it started. it was still one of the best times of my life though.
C=
Oh my god! i LOVE the costume!
:D that is just pure creativity! i just love the detail in this…i REALLY wish i could have seen that! and trust me, what you said requires no more eloquence
How did I not see that?? I was there!!! I saw someone from the Volturi but no lamb!! I am totally gonna steal that costume for Halloween!!!!
And also SM said she loved my paper clip necklace!!!! I just made a long chain out of paper clips!! And she said she loved it!! And I started crying at the fact that Stephenie complimented me!!! Yes I am pathetic.
ACK! You are all so very, very sweet
I had a ton of fun wearing the costume, and meeting many other amazing, smart, caring Twilighters.
And hey now! A comment in…German? Time for me to dork out and go use the Google translate page.
Thanks for all of the Twilight Love! You guys rock!
~Hazel -AKA the Lamb-
P.S. A HUGE thank you goes out to the Lexicon staff. It is super exciting to have something of mine featured on the site. You guys really made my existence as a Twilighter.
I was there! I was really surprised to an actual lamb there, but I really liked it! Good idea!

That blog was pretty funny! LOL. I loved the costume, very cute!
Ha- don’t hurt you head too much, now. We don’t want permanent brain damage! ;P
I’m glad you liked it. I’m so jealous. -pout-
OMG. I saw you.her.
At first I was like lamb? what? then after I thought about it for a few minutes I immediately went oh! lion/lamb!
That takes some bravery but I imagine it was all worth it!
(That’s seattle for the rest of the world!)
I dressed up and I’m proud of it. ^^

It sounds like you ahd a great time! Your so lucky you got to meet her, im sure she’ll always remember you! =D
Thanks for sharing that with us! It was really well written! =D
<3
That’s awesome! I remember seeing you there. I wore a shirt with Edward’s face on it (the one from borders) and when I handed Stephenie my book she said, “Ah Rob is staring at me!” I can’t remember if I said anything or not because I was face to face with the most amazing woman on the planet, but then my mom(who was behind me) said, “Yeah he’s her favorite,” and then Stephenie said,”He’s everyone’s favorite.”
ome!
we LOVE your costume!
when we went to our release party, we totally didn’t even THINK about making costumes!
then they had a competition for who had the best costume, and everyone wanted to join in (even if they didn’t have a costume on)
Bailey- all of our friends wanted me to go as Bella, but I was dressed up as a fangirl! so i told them no, but that would have been soooo cool if I won for the best fangirl!
I love the costume! Such a cute idea! And yay for meeting Stephenie!
I had the pleasure of seeing you in costume and thought you looked adorable!
You were parading and sashing through the hall and the auditorium with absolutely no sign of caring what others were thinking. All I can say is good for you!
You looked like you were having a blast and that’s all that matters. I’m glad to read what Stephenie’s response was. I was curious all night.
That’s very awesome. I was sitting right behind you in the Hall. =)
OMG!!!I love her costume. And she got to meet stephenie meyer. Oh God I would have past out before I could say anything.
I was in Seattle too! And I saw the girl in the lamb costume! It was funny, cuz I turned to my mom and said I want to do something similar if I go to another one of Stephenie’s book signings. Great outfit!
omg! i remember being right in front of you when we were all standing in line to get into the hall! the ears and leg warmers are awesome!
YOU ROCK!
I remember seeing you! You looked good! Very cool!
I have only one comment. Stephanie would have said gosh, or soemthing else, not g.o.d.
Otherwise, brilliant!!!
OME!!! I absolutely love it! I wish I was ever so clever! It’s geniusnism! (my quite random word)I’m glad you had fun and you do deserve it!!!
I love it!
p.s. I don’t think it really matters whether she said “gosh” or not, it was still a brilliant reaction!
Brilliant and totally cute idea! I’ve add a link to this from my Twilight Costume website.
