Who in their right minds would hack a Twilight site? They’ve gotta be insane! Hacking is so childish.. I CANNOT believe that they destroyed the message boards.. I’m with mimi, that was like the best thing about the Lexicon.. I hope everything gets back up pretty easily.. Good luck you guys..

Edward Cullen- Thanks for answering my question =] Either way I’ll still be sticking around! I love the Lex, and although BD wasn’t my favorite of the series, I’m perfectly capable of keeping that opinion to myself lol. Many other things to talk about!

We do know for certain it was a bunch of Twilight haters, or people masquerading as Twilight haters. I got the email. I saw what they wrote. Not every site will please everyone- the Lex tries to please the people who are not into being spoiled. It is by no means the only site out there, and the admins will be the first to admit that it might not be the best fit for you. But with the proliferation of Twilight fansites out there, I am sure you can find one that suits you, and the way you approach things. This site just happens to err on the side of caution and politeness, which frankly, I appreciate.

And there was a place where people could say whatever they felt about BD, regardless of whether they like it or not- it was merely monitored outside of the BD forum.

Not only that, but the Admins cannot be blamed for what the collective fandom thinks. That’s almost as bad as telling a parent that the devil made you do it. People will have differing opinions and beliefs, and I respect the admins here for refusing to become bitter.

Frankly, if someone is spamming my page with garbage, I would delete them, too. Racist comments, religious bigotry, anything that seems to be provoking a fight- I would delete it. The world is already full of people who disagree, but do we really need to start WW3 on the web over something so stupid as an opinion?

Oh, wow, I come back from a vacation and find that my beloved Twilight Lexicon has been hacked! It’s absolutely awful what some people will do…all the wonderful discussions we had on the forums are gone! We can’t get any of that back! That’s incredible. And Stephenie’s own input…gone. I think I’ll be angry and bitter for my own five minutes- then I’ll move on.
