Over the last few weeks we have received several emails asking for interviews for school papers or from people sharing their Twilight school experiences. We have seen teachers who have created websites for their students, students using Twilight for lit studies, and grad students studying Twilight as part of their PhD. As a teacher myself, I think it is amazing that teachers and students alike have found a way to incorporate Twilight into the classroom. So if you are a teacher or a student send us your stories on how you have used Twilight in the classroom or for a report. Please send your stories to twilightteacher@gmail.com no later than June 12th. We will be running a Twilight Summer School piece later in the summer.

cool idea!
that is a great idea…..I like how people can include Twilight into every concept of Life!
yay twilight in school

That’s cool. I’ve used Twilight in school to.
I made a presentation about twilight once. My teacher liked it.
that’s really cool, I have used it in a school project but what about the host? I’m doing a book report about that right now.
How fun!!! These should be interesting to see.
Actually MY BROTHER used his Twilight art sketches for the assignment he did in college!

It’s wonderful how the Twilight series has gotten our kids to read more. I am happy there are teachers who are aware of this and are encouraging it. Learning is fun again!
yey! thats cool, i used Twilight as an art project, i made the word “TWILIGHT” out of cardboard and painted them with different scenes from the book!
Wow, good idea, but the title gave me the chills! lol
ah! i am excited!
Oh, that’s really good idea!!
Awesome. My friends and I have a twilight book club, and we’d love more discussion points to talk about…this sounds great!
Wow, that’s sort of cool. I don’t see how Twilight would be incorporated into learning though.
I would start a group only there would be too many people in it and I don’t know a teacher who would/has read it and be the advisor for it.
I just went to a spoken English exam and i talked about Twilight, and i got the top grade!!!! YEAH! + one of the teachers looked a 100 % like Robert PAttinson!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s really cool that so many people are using it (especially teachers) and I’m looking forward to your piece on it.
Kind of makes me wish I had done something on it in school (not that I had a good opportunity to do so) but the most I did was include it in my essay for my English final in the list of 5 books I would want to save if society suddenly turned against books. (we were reading Farenheit 451 at the time–awesome book!)
i haven’t done a whole lot school related twilight stuff…yet. but i have gotten a ton of people at school to read it! i also brought it in for a kind of “show and tell” thing that my class had. it was what we got for christmas.
wow, thats really awesome. even better, using twilight in school will spread the word of its awesomeness =]
I’m going to have to submit something. I started a Twilight club at my school last year
I hadn’t done a lot of twilight stuff at school, but I have gotten a lot of people reading the books.
My friends and I did a little movie for Twilight.
I got my teacher to read it and we talk about it all the time. We (all my friends ) used to start laughing anytime she said something Twilight related, but know whe does too!
Its crazy how Twilight is at my school. I kno teachers who are reading it, and when someone mentions Edward or Bella or Twilight, everyone kind of stops and then starts talking about it..like in my sister’s classroom, she mentioned Twilight, the techer askesd her, “where would you want to go if you could?” and my sis was like, “Forks..” and then I guess like almost the whole class started laughing and was like, “yea yea me too!” and then they all started talking about Edward and other twilight realted things, and I guess now that English teachers husband is reading Twilight..and like I see Twilight everywhere! My school is HUGE! and likee people who I would never of guessed even read, (lol) were talking about the movie and the books..and im like whoa.
but anywaysss story short:
Twilight is taking over the world. =) and that makes me happy.
I used Twilight for a Spanish report once. I had to present it infront of my class, but I didn’t tell anyone what it was about. (We had to write about our dream vacation.) My best friend burst out laughing as soon as I said I went to Forks. It was really funny because no one else knew what I was talking about and thought we were insane… and now almost all of them have read it.
If you used Twilight in a school report, are you supposed to E-Mail the story of how you used it or put the report or both? Sorry, I feel kinda dumb asking but..
**You can send both if you want that is fine. A story and what ever you did for it.
Errrr lucky’s.
I have yet to use twilight at school.
I might have to encourage some of the teachers to do something about that when school starts up again. hmmm…..
I am a teacher who got bitten by Twilight thanks to my students. I’m forever grateful, and I’ve returned the favor by lending my books out to students who complain they don’t like to read or that books are boring. So far, no student I’ve lent Twilight to has come back saying that it’s boring! In fact, I’ve created a few fans of the series myself. :p
I have used twilight in a class. My teacher told us to do PowerPoint on whatever we want so I did a presentation on twilight. I actually made a new freind by doing that presentation. oh, yeah…i got a 100 on it!
I obviously use Twilight in my class…since thats what my whole site is about. I am trying to figure out how to get some copies of the books donated to my school. We don’t even have them in our library. I have purchased four twilights, one new moon, and two eclipses…I am a poor teacher and can’t afford much more. I really want a class set so I can do a novel study with my students in the fall. one of the goals of my site this summer will be asking all the twilight fans to help me devise a unit plan for the novel.
..ahh I wasn’t done and I pushed submit…we are a pretty poor school so we don’t really have the funds to purchase the books either. I am excited there are other students and teachers out their dazzled by the books like we are at novel novice!
Next year, the juniors have to this huge research project on any subject they want for the entire yeah, and I’m seriously considering doing it based around Twilight. : D
Probably would get me the best A ever. xDD
I use Twilight as examples in english and it’s so much fun.
Well, in the Philippines, school starts on June 10, so there’s not much the students can do as a project or report in 2 days. But I’ve been sort of plugging the 3 books in our school website, and I get some inquiries from students and teachers. Our library has just purchased multiple copies of each book. I’m proud to say that Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse will be featured alongside Austen, Tolstoy, Homer, Dickens, Bronte, Shelley, Tolkien and company in our “Book Report Caravan” starting July. By then we’ll be able to post something.:)
You’re going to teach TWILIGHT in a classroom? *shakes head*
Our education has really plummeted.
