I’m wondering if more is going to happen at the beach. It just keeps coming back, you know? Like, maybe that final confrontation (if there is one, even though we kind of assume there will be) will happen there.
So what to you think Twilight fans…does the beach hold significance as a location? Will it be the scene of something important in Breaking Dawn? And if so…what will happen there?
What other settings do you see as signicant to the story?

Actually, I don’t. If anything, I think some major event would take pplace in the forest. Throughout all three books the forest has played a major role, so why not again?
I think there will be a meeting of some sort, maybe if the wolves find out that Bella (if she is) bitten. The wolves will have to decide amongst themselves whether to accept it like Jacob or if the treaty matters (especially since Bella’s Jacob’s friend)
But that probably won’t happen, I’m just tossing ideas around.
I think something will happen at the beach… but not something VERY important (like a final battle).
The title itself, BREAKING DAWN, can have significance at the beach, but dawn is also beautiful in the forest, or the meadow. You never really know with STEPH-you always need to be ready to expect the unexpected!!!

Maybe something with Bella talking to Jacob when he comes back from his little run-away(he better come back quickly!). I don’t know if anything really huge will happen there, but it definately has signifigance.

I’m seriously torn…I already have Eclipse, and right now I can’t think of any friends I could give it to as a present…but the first chapter of Breaking Dawn and the cover…this is mean, really, I wish she’d just post the first chapter on her website… -grumble- the difference between waiting for the 31rst and August 2nd is just so huge, even if it’s only a small part of Breaking Dawn…
About the beach….actually, I couldn’t think of a reason why. It’s Quileute territory, something Bella will have to avoid as a vampire, and I don’t think it has that much significance, either, unless she went there one more time before being changed, to mourn all the happy times she shared there with Jacob..I don’t know, I don’t know, really.
Okay, so the Volturi won’t be left out I’m sure..either they come to Seattle or the Cullens go to Italy again (but I doubt that)…maybe the Volturi will discover the werewolves and try to destroy them (perhaps the Cullens would try to defend them, Bella included?)….or Alaska, I definetely think we haven’t heard the last of the Denali Coven…especially seeing (meeting for the first time) Tanya would be interesting. Maybe they’ll come to the wedding, too?
I think the beach may come into it, especially being Bella and Jacob’s special place, but I think it could be their final goodbye. The goodbye where they say everything they are too afraid to say. But I really don’t think that there will be a huge epic battle or showdown. i don’t think the Cullens would venture there unless invited

i don’t know whether there will be a final combat. i’m really not sure. but maybe the beach will be the place of a confrontation between the werewolves, the Denali coven and/or the Volturi. i think the volturi should really find out about the werewolves, jane would be pleased…
yea i would like to see her post the first chapter up on her website too.
But about the beach holding an importance to the 4th book..

I definetly think the meadow is going to have significance, I mean if Bella and Edward do get married I’d hope it would be there…wouldn’t that be cute!!!!
Anyway, I’m sure the beach will pop up, but probably nothing to big will happen there.
Me thinks, She will bring in Alaska some how for sure!
I think the beach will only come into play if Bella goes to La Push again to see Jacob. But, I’d be a little surprised if she did; by this time she must know she can’t keep the door open between Jacob and herself without damaging Edward’s trust in her commitment to him. What could be acomplished by another visit? I could see Bella there alone, pondering, but not in company, and not in a pivotal scene in the book.
Two other reasons I don’t see the beach as playing an important role in BD is that the Cullens would not go to the beach uninvited by the tribe, and let’s face it–the beach is not the ideal place for a show-down: no cover, no room to manuver, and uncertain footing.
I’m sure they’ll be more scenes at the beach but I don’t think it’ll play any significant role in BD. I think we may see the meadow again. I honestly can’t wait to find out what happens. Will it just go smoothly or will there be some big confrontation. I think if there is it will only be w/Jacob and the wolves. I’m not sure if the Denali clan will come into play or not. I want it to be about the wedding, Bella being changed, and a happy ending!! Just want I wish for. OH yeah and who Jacob will imprint on if anyone! What if it were a vamp from the Denali clan???????? Can werewolves imprint on vampires?

I think it could be the setting for the war between the vampires and the werewolves…
However it wouldn’t have been my first choice of setting for the war. It is possible it could be significant though!
I’m not sure if the Beach will play a huge part – I personally thought it kind of has already with the cliffs & her talks with Jacob. Though it could be revisited, especially if Jacob is back in town.
For me, I agree with a post above about the meadow being significant – it would be a beautiful place for a small family wedding – but with Alice planning – small is relative.

I also don’t think that the beach will play a huge part. I could see her revisiting, but that’s all. As for her wedding, the meadow is to far into the woods and there is no trail to lead you to it. I imagined the wedding to take place at the Cullen’s home, where there is a beautiful clearing in front of their house. Maybe Edward and Bella could spend their wedding night in the meadow, just the two of them…
The wedding will be at the clearing there special place and something will happen there were Bella will have to be changed
I think the beach has a significance. I mean that’s where Bella first heard the stories of the “cold ones” and where she spent most of her time there with jacob. I’m sure Bella will revisit hoping to see jacob one last time before her transformation, i think. As for a huge battle taking place there… i don’t think so not when they’re is a forest right next door.

I thim it would be cool of Edward and Bella got Married in the meadow!!! but honestly…I dont know why the Denali Clan would even be inviteed to the wedding,,I mean sure they have been friends but at the moment the clan isn’t to happy with the Cullens cause of what happend to Laurent AND most impotanr Alice and the rest of the Cullens have got to know that Tanya being there would Make Bella feel really uncomfortable and this is HER and Edward day and i would think they would care more about HER feelings and how uncomfortable SHE would feel if Tanya were there..and I’m POSITIVE that Edward would care more about how Bella would feel about it…after this is HE has been looking forward to it for a long time and I’m sure would want it to go Perfectly with no distractions. ya know? I just think that ALice would realize how Bella would feel about it if Tanya was at HER and Edwards wedding. after all,they already do consider Bella to be one of the family,one of them.
i think it will play a part but i’m not sure how big. i don’t think it will be the fight scene (if any) because a lot of people go there and nobody ,vamp or wolf, wants the risk of somebody seeing them or worse someone getting hurt because of them.
i think the wedding will be in the cullen’s backyard, it’s big and spacy and everyone knows where it is, opposed to the meddow. the meddow is small and (like stated above) hidden deep in the forest. plus it is edward and bella’s secret place if anyone else goes there it’ll just be unwanted company, like laurent.
The only way I could see the beach play a role in the book is that Bella goes there to see Jacob. Maybe Jacob calls her to meet him there to say goodbye before the wedding?
I hope the meadow is where Edward and Bella is going to get married, but probably not since it is in the woods and no trail to get there, it’s probably just going to be at the Cullenes house.
I`m not sure about the beach with them not being able to come on the land. Maybe the wedding will be at the cullens and a fight will take place Bella will end up getting hurt and he takes her to there special place the meadow and changes her there with Jacab watching to make sure no one follows them or tries to stop them.
I don’t see the beach as a battle scene. Why would the Cullens or other vampires be there?
I don’t see another dramatic moment between Bella and Jacob. They had two of those at the end of Eclipse.
If anything pivotal is going to happen at First Beach, it may have to do with Jacob imprinting on someone. A new start for him.
BD may not just be about Bella and Edward. I think Stephenie will allow some resolution for Jacob as well. She’s very fond of him.
HAVE WE FORGOTTEN HOW CIVIL THE WOLVES AND THE CULLENS ENDED UP BEING WITH EACHOTHER???
I DONT KNOW WHY THE CULLENS WOULDNT BE ABLE TO BE ON LA PUSH LAND ANYMORE…I WOULD LIKE TO THINK THAT THERE IS A NEW TYPE OF TRUCE and TRUST TO THE WOLVES AND THE CULLENS SINCE THEY DID COME TOGETHER TO HELP EACHOTHER FOR THE BATTLE. EVEN DURING THE TRAINING THE WOLVES WERE STARTING TO REALIZE THAT THE CULLENS ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER VAMPIRES.

La tua Cantante- I’m sorry, but did you read how jacob reacted in eclipse at the end, and when he phased the others saw and felt his anger, i really doubt that they will be a buddy-buddy as before when the battle was taking place, even then they kept their distance.
I have a spark of hope that Jacob will imprint on someone other than bella so that bella will not have to carry the pain of leaving jacob alone and by himself forever. Imprinting is powerful stuff, and i think that if he did, and Bella was his “SOUL MATE” that Edward would have no effect on that, then again… with stephenie there is no telling, bella may be his soul mate and with edward he just lost his one and only true soul mate.
I hope that the denali tribe, volturi, and bella as an vampire will take major parts in the story not just mentioned somewhere in between or stuck at the end.
I read somewhere in an interview that Jacobs perspective like at the end in eclipse will carry through to BD and Bella will have her share too…. Im team edward, so i really don’t want to listen to a pup whine….Lets hope Jacob ImPrInTs something!
The cullens maybe on La Push land but not anyone else. yes they practice battling each other but not on La Bush land, And Edward wasn`t allowed to pick Bella up or drop her off there he had to do it on the edge because of the treaty. The only reason Edward and Charlise were allowed on was to treat Jacob. So I don`t see the wedding taking place there if the other Vampires were to come. remeber the Denali didn`t want to fight with the Jacob and the othere`s
ACTUALLY A GOOD QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF IS…
SINCE THE WOLVES AND THE CULLENS BANNED TOGETHER TO HELP EACHOTHER FOR THE BATTLE AND WOULD SEEM NOW TO HAVE A TYPE OF TRUCE TRUST AROUND EACHOTHER(i mean of course there not all best friends or anything)AND NOW THE WOLVES SEEING AND REALIZING THE THE CULLENS ARE DIFFERENT THAN OTHER VAMPIRES AFTER ALL THE NEW THINGS THEYSAW AND LEARNED ABOUT THEM.

Yes. There will be a possible important scene on the beach. It just keeps coming back and Stephenie’s hinting at something that’s going to happen on the beach at some point. You know it could be where Bella says her final good – bye to Jake.
I made a fan fic about this . Bella get married in the meadow and stay after the wedding to um *cough* do the dead if you will, becuase that was Bellas condition, it had to happen while she was human. Then Edward begins to change her as the sun is rising and that last things Bella hears before she blacks out is Jacob yelling NOOOOOO lol
undoubtably, the meadow would be an ideal place for their wedding; however, the cullen house may serve as a more appropriate location. i could see the whole thing being very grand there.
i would love to see something more related to the mountain where bella and jacob shared that heated kiss. the story took an interesting (and highly frustrating) turn there. i know this is a long shot, but i love (and hate) the drama.

But I hope because I LOVE EDWARD that stephenie/Bella will pick Edward.

and i am sure that Stephenie will write and add about them doing the deed,(i hope) but of course since it is still a YA book it will have to be toned down a little and wont give all the juicy details of course..kind of like a pg-13 version.of it. I think that the beach might have some significance… Maybe we might hear a little about Emmett’s background, after all he’s the only one who we haven’t heard the full story of yet.
If word gets out to Bella about how Jacob left his life behind and ran away in wolf form, she’d definitely run to La Push and talk to Billy and then probably go to all the places she’s been to with Jacob (the place he told her the stories, the path to that place, the cliff, the mountain, etc.). That would mean the beach could hold significance because that is the place where they first met. If anything, it might help her find him again. Maybe he’ll, like, sense that she’s there or something. I don’t know, but anything is possible. I don’t think it’d be where Bella says her final good-bye since she kind of already said it in eclipse. (I cried so much in that chapter!!!!!)
The Meadow would be significant for practically anything. Look at it in the other books… Twilight you have the “sparkle” scene where Edward tells her everything he can. New Moon, she goes there thinking she’ll hear Edward, (right?) and then sees Jacob as a wolf (right?lol…). Its a place dear to her heart so it could be important. Stephenie won’t give any details of them doing the deed… She has stated that she wouldn’t write anything that went that far since her children read the books as well. She doesn’t want them exposed to that and its not her style to write that. Although she may give hint, she wouldn’t full on explain; if that situation should arise…(I honestly hope it doesn’t…that’s just me… leave us guessing at the end about whether they do or don’t…and if she turns…that’d be weird!)
Someone above mentioned the mountain where they camped….and where the shocking Jacob/Bella kiss took place! I love that place because of that kiss. Its where she realized how she really felt. It was where Jacob won part of the fight and it would be dear to both their hearts. I’m thinking that maybe Jacob went there when he ran away. Anything is possible, right? It’d make since… Even though he said he wanted to “numb the pain” or something. He might just subconsciously be led there, and after searching the beach, Bella might look there.

I think she will revisit all the places in the book… the meadow, Lapush… I just don’t know what’s going to happen there. I’m not thinking a fight scene at Lapush… Unless Jacob kidnaps Bella before the transformation and trys to hold her hostage or something and Edward is forced to go on his land… thats just crazy talk though.
