In light of the fact that The Host has been released internationally, we’ve had some discussion as to how we should proceed. I know that many of you are just chomping at the bit to discuss the book. I am, too! Out of fairness to the many fans here in the states that still have a few weeks to wait for the book, we will not be opening our Host forum for spoiler discussion. Please, we ask that if you have had the chance to read an ARC or the real book internationally that you keep your posts spoiler free until May 6th when the book comes out here in the states. At that point we will open the forums for full discussion. It will be up to the individual members to decide if they want to visit the forum and be spoiled or wait until they finish the book. But as for right now, we are going to maintain our no spoiler policy here at the Lexicon.

Slightly unrelated, but since the subject of international release dates came up, does anyone know if international release dates have been set for the film? I’ll be living in Japan in December, and I’ve had some friends there tell me they’ve seen big movies there before we got them in the states (like Spiderman), and other movies a week or so after we got them (like Narnia) . So I am curious, I can’t seem to find these dates anywhere
I can’t wait to read The Host. I know that it will be a fantastic book because Stephenie wrote it so it only makes since that it will be awesome.

I’ve read the book and have been wanting to talk about it but since not everyone has read it and nobody i know has read it…its not really that exciting to talk about yet and it would be unfair for the fans who havent gotten the chance to read the book but i have told almost everyone i know that i have the book the moment i got it, that at least has its perks – being one of the first people to read the book. =D

ibelieveinnargles, yes it has! last April 2 to be exact.
Check out popular bookstores. They will most probably have it. For you to have the book easier, go to the customers service station and ask for the book (thats what I always do ;p) – unless, the book is seen all over the bookstore or outside for people to see, haha!

I live in Puerto Rico… and I already read the book, I bought it on saturday…I didnt know the international release date was different so when i walked into borders and saw the book i freaked…lol, i forgot about everything else and RAN to the cashier with the book in hand…does anyone knows why is the date different? Could something like that happen with Breaking Dawn?
Am I the only one who is extremely excited for the Eclipse Special edition????? I just can’t wait to see the cover of Breaking dawn! Is the release date still May 31st??
I’m also way pumped about the Host. I should be getting my copy after Steph’s signing at Changing Hands, where I ordered a signed edition…so, can’t wait for that!!

i can’t read the hot until early june becuase of the whole you get free shipping if your order is over $25 (stupid amazon) and i am poor at the moment so it’s coming with the eclispe special edition but it’s worth the wait

I think I saw the breaking dawn ARC in Borders NYC, cause in the adult sci-fi section, high p there was stacks of twilight new moon eclipse and a light blue covered books with white letters, I couldnt see what it said, but it was too high to reach.. so ,i will never know
but it was there with the twilgit books… and there were no non-twilight series books except maybe the light blue one there…

and soon, the breaking dawn books wil ship out, so you WILL be able to see piles of breaking dawn go in, and leaks WILL come.
