In response to Leah(30)What does it matter if Miley reads the books or not? how do you know if she has or not? This is not about Miley. It's about Emily reviewing her favourite book. I personally liked her review of the book. I thought it was very interesting let the child enjoy the book like everybody else.

I wanted to read the book before I saw the film as sometimes they cut things out in the films'cos of the time they have etc. I've been reading some of the comments on this site and I don't think they're fair. How do you expect Stephanie Meyer to become famous and people to know her if you keep it to a small fan base. Surely the thing is to actually get the writer and her books known world wide especially if she is going to adapt them into motion pictures. It is like the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Harry Potter series. Read before you see.

mdiz: im soo scared for the movie! i might not even watch it. i read gossipgirl, loved the books and the show totally ruined it for me. same thing happend with Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants when they made it into a movie. but i cant help my curiosity with the movie.

I LOVED the movie version of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I saw it my junior year of high school, and had read the book in 7th grade, so i had forgotten details, but the plot was mainly the same. It was pretty...it was girly...it was as good as it could've been. It even had some emotional narration.

(Do you suppose Twilight will have some of that? Like in the movie Speak?)

However, when I saw the movie "How to Deal" based off two Sarah Dessen books, I just kept fixing stuff in my head and saying,"No! That did not happen!" That movie disappointed me. And don't even get me started on "Blood and chocolate." i read the book when i was 12 (i'm 19 now) and 15 minutes into the movie version of it I was bored out of my mind. bleh.

I haven't reread my Twilight book since last summer, so my details may be lacking, but i don't want to reread it before the movie comes out, because then i'll do what i did with "how to deal." I'll mentally fix things and be pissed off about it.

But i want magic.

People saying that they are disappointed that this book is now "mainstream" is about as stupid as people saying that it sucks that their favorite band is now well known. If people deserve the credit and praise, we should give it to them wholeheartedly, and not complain that everybody knows about it now.

SSprincess is right!!! I think I got Twilight when it first came out from a Scholastic book order thing. And the only reason I got it was because of the page number. When I read the two sentence description, I was like...great. Another book on vampires. But then I started reading it...and couldn't stop...I read to like past midnight and passed out in my chair!!! And when I bought it, it didn't even say New York Times Bestseller yet on the cover!!!!

Well I appreciate her enthusiasm about the book and I remember being super excited when a guest (being her) on The View mentioned the book (I was watching live hehe). But...my biggest *pout* moment comes from her calling Bella "unoriginal." That kinda made me feel sad...cause I feel like part of why Bella is different from all the other kids is cause she is so original! I don't know...just sharing my thoughts. :-) I think it's cool that cosmo girl is running a review of the book though!!

I Love Emily and I LOVE Hannah Montana and I think it's great that Twilight is getting such great recognition. And I thought her review was cute and positive which is what we should all hope for from a celebrity that so many young girls look up to.

Who wants to be careful with whom they fall in love with if it's Edward?? I am happy that Emily Osment likes the books and that she would love to share. I did like the whole "I know something you don't know", but I really am glad that it is getting so widespread. Yay Emily!!!
Kudos!!
