Stephenie Meyer updated her site with photos from the set of Twilight the movie. Rumors were going around that she had lunch with the cast and this seems to confirm that. She has a very humorous post about the time she spent with the "people out of (her) imagination".
Also, the additional cast list was confirmed by Variety. Check it out.
Christian Serratos confirmed on her MySpace page that she will be playing Angela Webber. (Edited: A big "Hi" to Christian who mentioned that she visited our site.)

I always knew Rob would be great for Edward, I was totally inlove with him when he was Cedric Diggory. I would drool over him through out all of GOF…you should have seen me during OOTP when they showed him dying repeatedly – I nearly cut off the circulation in my sisters arm.

I just wanna add that I’m doing a report on vampire mythology in my English class, and Stephenie’s book keeps on throwing me off – I can’t explain in my ‘literature’ section that vampires in the Twilight Saga are completely different!! Hahhaahah. i’ll live!
I saw Taylor Lautner’s photo. He’s in the age group for the casting of Jacob, but somehow, I don’t see him as a love interest for later films… They might recruit a different actor then. Still, remember there was a younger Quilleute with Jacob as well as an older one at the beach. If my memory serves me correctly anyway. Jacob was going to be cast as an unknown as well. I’d be looking closer at Gregory Tyree Boyce for the next few days. He’s the only unknown on the list so far. If he’s not Jacob, then they simply have not released him yet. The way they played the role up made it seem as though when they do release him, it’s going to be sort of a big deal. But then again, maybe not.

Plus, Robert does have amazing “look-right-through-you” eyes. I think he’ll manage to do the smoldering thing pretty well. I can’t really say Robert was not my first pick, only because I seriously cannot find a single actor or model who actually fits my vision of Edward. It’s weird. Kristen is so close to my vision of Bella, though, that I was quite happy when they chose her.
Taylor Lautner is definitley Jacob. No doubt about it. IMBD seems not to have up to date pictures, but on his more official websites, there are photos where he appears much older. I’m actual very pleased now….
Jackson looks like Jasper! Yay!! Everyone is turning out to look just as I imagined. Kristen and Rob look really good together! Steph looked so giddy, you could just tell that she was screaming and jumping up in down on the inside! I cannot wait for the movie now!!!!!

Lee: He’s been in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl. He’s not a bad actor at all. He was just so young when he did those that I was terrified he would be Jacob. I didn’t realize how much older he looks since then. He’s absolutely perfect.
He’s got the charisma down pat.
Oh, and he is a martial artist. He’ll be great in future battle scenes…

(sorry, napoleon dynamite fan here) I remember how he said that when he was filming Harry Potter that he didn’t know what to do because he didn’t know anyone and he would just sit by himself and drink coffee, in a way it looks like that’s what he’s doing now. He’s so shy!! And cute! And if he is reading this (which, come on, why wouldn’t he be? this site is awesome!) I would just like to say, “Robert. You are perfect for our Edward. We all love you! Remember the casting call for extras? They needed a stand-in for Laurent who was black with dreds. So, Edi gathegi must be Laurent and Billy Burke can’t be. So, my guess is Billy Burke is Charlie, Sarah Clarke is Renee, Edi Gathegi is Laurent. And if Taylor Lautner is Jacob …. well, I just hope he has grown up well, because he *looks* much too young to be a formidable werewolf in future films. Perfect for Twilight-Jacob, but not so much New Moon-Jacob. I am *over the moon* about Rob and Kristen. *Perfect* Edward and Bella.

i think that they are going to tell Taylor, that to be Jacob, he is going have to change his image for new moon, than later on eclipse. I don’t think he would have a problem with that, all he has to do is get bulkier. In Twilight, Jacob is supposed to be too tall, and lanky, so Taylor is a good pick. But, who knows, he could be just another quileute boy, and they still haven’t found Jacob.

I wholeheartedly agree. I would not want them to change actors. Still, he’s in that age group where drastic physical changes happen within a single year, so I wouldn’t lose hope just yet. He’s old ENOUGH for the moment to play the young 15 year old Jacob for the first book. Who knows, he’ll likely reach a groth spurt and rocket into his roll for the next movie. And you have to admit, the kid’s fit. I have no doubt he’ll meet the phyisical description of Jacob in the next few years. They can fake height on camera. Anyway, this is all speculation, so maybe you’ll get your wish and this is only Seth!
