We can now confirm, what most fans had speculated correctly, and that is Kellen Lutz is slated to play Emmett Cullen. Also, apparently, Henry Cavill according to the Henry Cavill Fan site was offered the part of Carlilse and was not interested in the project.to read the script, but due to his work on The Tudors he was unable to consider it. We’d again like to thank everyone for their patience as we have had a a lot to iron out on the tech end on probably our busiest news two weeks ever. You guys have been really supportive. Silly Henry. That’s a bit disapointing, becuase it still would have been great to see him as any vampire, what with the whole better-looking-than-humanly-possible thing. But I’m still happy with Summit’s choices! Yay Emmett! *wants a pillow with Kellen Lutz on it so I can give it a bear hug*

Pictures of the Twilight movie in production! Yay! They don’t show much but I was excited nevertheless.
I for one am extremely happy that Rpbert P. was picked as Edward, hes read the books, he can do the accent, he has “classical” good looks, and boy he can act.
I think the mere fact that Henry wasn’t interested should be enough to shoot those still rooting for him and bashing Robert hard in the foot…. He wasn’t interested! I would rather have someone who has read the book and has some level of passionate interest in it, despite what somepeople may think of his looks…
I choose to beleive that there are people whos jobs are to pick the right person for the part, and therefore i whole heartedly agree with the cast so far…..

We are aware of the radio interview with Billy Burke, however we have no confirmation on it. We are waiting for confirmation about the interview before we post it here.
Lets do try to be possitive in these posts, whether Henry was your dream Edward or Robert, or some other actor.
News Flash! Gaspard is not playing Edward in the movie. Get over it and move on. He is, however, still allowed to be Edward in your own vision of him, no one can take that away from you . . . so fantasize away! Robert has been cast to play Edward in the movie. Period. Give him a chance – you may be pleasantly surprised and your mental vision of Edward may change. We don’t know if they even screen tested Gaspard. Sure he looks great, but maybe he couldn’t act! Apparently Robert blew everyone away with his screen test, that’s why he was cast in the role. And let’s please try and keep all the “OMGs” to a minimum. Thanks

I feel like Billy Burke will play Charlie but I’d always assumed Charlie to be much older because he’s described as balding. But if he and Renee had Bella when they got out of high school then Charlie would be around 36-38, which is pretty young.

I am so very happy about Emmett: if we all guesses who he was correctly, the caster is doing a very good job. Henry Cavill, on the other hand…grr. As much as I think our new Carlisle will do a good job, Henry just has that old-fashioned kind of beauty to him, whereas the one they’ve cast has a modern handsomness, which doesn’t really work out with a guy born in the sixteen-forties.

Hi I’m Charise, I wrote and got the info about Henry posted on HCF, please fix this on the front page of this site. Henry was never offered the part of Carlisle or Henry, he got the script.
Please remember he can’t be in it even if he wanted too, he is under contact with the Tudors for season three, until it is cancelled he has to get out of his contract to be in movies. The would be filming at the same time as well. The Tudors films in the spring in Ireland. Don’t hate him, he can’t help it.
