I have confirmation on a variety of other cast members from a reliable source. I know there are a million rumors circulating out there about other parts, but since I have no credible confirmation, I am not posting other names at this time.
Again, keeping out site policy in mind, you don’t have to like a particular actor. However, if you are going to critique this actor on this website, it has to do with their performing abilities and not the fact that they have "The wrong color hair, eyes, a tan, are short…" or any other number of superficial things make-up, lighting, and a good camera angle can solve.

but there is one problem. the people for carlise and esme are brown headed but in the book they are blonde. so they better get the hair dye ready. they say that carlisle’s actor is a vegaterian…thats ironic.
Eeek! I’m so excited that there were so many people annouced at one time! It’ll be weird picturing Nikki Reed as Rosalie though since I really only see her as the trashy girl from “Thirteen”…but I guess I’ll have to live with it. As far as the rest of the cast–LOVE IT!
I have to agree with someone from earlier- it makes sense to make Carlisle look a little older for the movie. We all know that he is 23, but that would feel a little unbelievable in the movie. I think they did a great job on casting. I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to find a 4’11 pixie of a girl with black hair that can also play the part well. Who cares if she is a few inches taller? I doubt anyone’s exact measurements will be mentioned in the movie.
Also, it is amazing what they can do with hair, makeup, cameras, etc. I think this is going to be an amazing movie.
Oh man I am so excited to see who they pick for Jacob…. i think overall they have done a great Job picking the cast (well i do have my doubts about Edward but could he ever be perfectly picked?) I hope they find someone perfect for Jacob because to me Edward and Jacob are the two most important and probably hardest to

Though Carlisle and Esme are older than I pictured, like people said – It will work better in the flesh for them to not look too close to the age of the kids. Both are fine choices I think.
Alice. Like everyone, I love the choice. Couldn’t have asked for better.
Victoria – She isn’t as edgy as I was thinking, but that is where the ACTING will come in. She looks amazing though.
Rosalie? as already mentioned Rosalie is supposed to be even more beautiful than Alice……and as far as they have been cast, I do not see it. And well, the fact that her and Catherine are so chummy leaves me feeling a bit more bitter about the decision than if it had been another random actress who I thought wasn’t right for the part, but whats done is done. Just have to accept it and hope for the best!

Wigs can do amazing things to change the look of a character. You put a fire red wig on “Victoria” and who knows, they might instantly create the look that will meet our expectations.(hopefully) I think we have to be patient, as hard as that is to do, and let them do their magic on the actors We won’t be 100% satisfied, but we really won’t know until the movie comes out if they succeeded or not.
I have loved Peter Facinelli since Fastlane, and yes, I agree that he doesn’t look the way I pictured Carlisle. I think he’ll play an “edgier” and more conflicted Carllisle in the movie than was in the book. But I might just be picturing “Van” as Carlisle and not Peter.
I have also been a big fan of Robert as Edward since it was announced – he’s adorable!
And the actress playing Jessica is so cute – perfect in my opinion!

I love the actress playing Alice, so pretty, but I not very keen on Nikki Reed. As someone mentioned earlier, Rosalie is supposed to prettier than Alice, and Im just not seeing it either. The fact that the actress who was cast as Rosalie and Catherine Hardwicke know each other annoyed me a bit, but oh well! I’ll just have to wait until we all see the movie.
I also really like the choice for James , Victoria and Esme. But I agree with others who said that the actors playing James and Carlisle should swap. I can’t wait to see the rest of the cast.

Ok soo my opinion
Bella – Really like her, she’s a pretty good actress. Fit’s the part well.
Edward – Not my first choice (looks wise) but I have heard good things about him.. so I’m gonna keep an open mind
Eric – well I actually think he’s better for Ben, but ok sure…
Jessica – Nice..she fits.
James – I imagined a more dark/mysterious type but who knows maybe he’ll dye his hair or something. So he’s an ok from me
Mike – Cute in a puppy dog-ish way, fits the character pretty good. Looks kinda young, but ok.
Carlisle – If he goes blond possibly…if not he’s still ok
Rosalie – ummm not exactly happy about this choice (looks wise) but I guess if she acts well ok sure why not.
Alice -YES! I really wanted them to get Alice right and they DID!
She looks really cute, would suit Alice better if she cut her hair, but it works both ways.
Esme – She a pretty good actress, I was expecting someone a little younger looking, but she does have the motherly look, so yes.
Victoria – Nice, she looks really good for the part. It would suit the character better if her hair was more red-ish but she’ll be great for the part.
So over all, pretty good cast so far…I’m sure they’ll do justice to the books and make us proud!
I have to agree with those saying that the people playing Carlisle and James should switch. The guy playing Carlisle has a certain…fierceness in his face that I can’t see any one but James having lol. And as far as the rest of the people that have been cast…*happy dance* No complaints there.

Rosalie doesn’t even have a role in Twilight! (Normally, Bella just TALKED about her) She was supposed to be that gorgeous vamp in the background, so what can Nikki Reed really do to convince the audience?

Since Jacob is my least favorite character in the books, I really don’t care who plays him……however if Taylor does play him he sure does look young!
Thank you so very much for (finally) confirming this. I happen to have an Edward role-player on my friends list who posted this group of characters, saying it was confirmed by you, and so I came here to check it out. And, of course, it made my day.
So, here are my basic opinions.
Edward and Bella – Over all, they fit fantastically. I’m not thrilled with the looks of Edward (but he IS supposed to be UNHUMANLY gorgeous, so how could a human ever fit the part?). According to Stephenie herself, the casting directors could not look any further once Robert read as Edward. And, also according to Stephenie, the casting directors were astounded at the chemistry between Robert and Kristen. As long as they can act the part, I’ll be happy. Appearances can be changed with a little stage lighting and makeup.
Carlisle and Esme – I love Elizabeth, and Peter I’m happy with. From what I’ve heard, they’re both extremely talented. I wasn’t TOO worried about these two, anyway. As long as Bella and Edward are correct (and Alice in movies to come), I’m happy.
Alice and Rosalie – I definately can’t picture either of them in the part, but I’ve checked out a few things that Nikki has done, and her personality just SCREAMS “Rosalie!”. No complaints here.
James and Victoria – Actually, I’m thrilled with Cam. Rachelle, however, seems just too sweet to play the role. She looks… somewhat the part, though I’ve always imagined Victoria to be a little more sharp angled, but her acting abilities scare me a little bit. I’ve never seen her play an intense role, such as Victoria will be, but I’ll give her the chance to prove herself before I make any judgements.
Mike, Eric, and Jess – I’m thrilled with all three actors. There are absolutely no duragatory things I could say about the casting directors choices on these three. And stop complaining that Eric is asian. Who cares? He’ll have, what, a total of maybe three lines in the entire movie? Stop worrying about it. He’s just a supporting role, anyway.

Yeah, this casting is good. But did anybody read that post on Stephenie’s site? Or rather go to extrasonly.com to see all of the descriptions of the characters? They’re making Laurent African American. I have a problem with that on account he’s FRENCH. Not American at all….and dread locks? I hope it’s not true. And they’re making Jasper brunette…)= and Carlisle’s not going to be blond either….They should at least stick to the basics of how they’re described in the books at least on the main characters.

And once again I’m seeing them having Edward’s hair shoulder length. I can deal with just about any changes except when it comes to Edward. No, no, no……gasping…….he doesn’t have shoulder length hair. It doesn’t even sound like something he would do. He was born in 1918 for heavens sake. He is a very “proper” young man and would NEVER have hair that long…..this stinks!!!

Oh well, when I first checked today (I do every day!) I saw that they casted some of the Cullens. I flipped out! I accidently picked the person who is playing Esme and I thought that I picked Alice. I was like WHOA! I thought that they where going insane! Then I checked myself again (much better)
I really like the choice for Alice. I can see her already. She’s gorgeous. I can’t wait to see her in the movie alongside Jasper!
Esme is fine. She wasn’t exactly my biggest casting concern.
Rosalie, ehhh, well, I thought that they could do better with Rose. She looks too…..She’s really gorgeous but in a different way than Rosalie. Maybe with blonde hair…….maybe.

Carlisle-well, he’s OK.
WOW!! I love the choice for Rosalie, because Nikki is just gorgeous, you gotta admit, she is beautiful and there is not going to be anyone who will be absolutely perfect for any roles(except maybe Alice and Esme haha), there isn’t anyone who is the “incarnation of pure beauty” like Rosalie, or super out of this world beautiful and handsome like Edward, but I love these choices!!!! If the movie is not what you like, then…. we’ll ALWAYS have the books which are perfect, thank you Stephenie for having that dream which started all of this!! Thank you Twilight Lex for keeping us updated!!

The cast for the Cullens is amazing! I must be repeating what has been said for maybe the billionth time, but I think that Carlisle and Rosalie would definitely work with some hair dye. Other than that, the people are perfect. No complaints here. Now, onward to waiting for Jake, Emmett, and Jasper.
