Even more cast members announced
Posted by pelirroja - 12/02/08 at 05:02 pmI have confirmation on a variety of other cast members from a reliable source. I know there are a million rumors circulating out there about other parts, but since I have no credible confirmation, I am not posting other names at this time.
Again, keeping out site policy in mind, you don’t have to like a particular actor. However, if you are going to critique this actor on this website, it has to do with their performing abilities and not the fact that they have "The wrong color hair, eyes, a tan, are short…" or any other number of superficial things make-up, lighting, and a good camera angle can solve.

Wow i’m amazed! I think they all look amazing! I’ve seen most of them in TV and films, and i’m impressed! They can ACT! I can’t wait untill the film comes out! *squeals!* I’m way too excited! I just can’t wait to see who’s Jasper, Emmett, Charlie and Laurent!
I did my daily check on the Lexicon and the server was down and i was thinking ‘SOMETHING MAJOR MUST HAVE HAPPENED!’ just like the Edward casting, so i had to check on OTHER sites! But now it’s back up so i’m happy. Great work!

An interesting choice for the characters. Though I was slightly disappointed that they didn’t look like how I pictured them, I realised, does it even matter? As long as they can act the parts, that’s fine. And of course their looks will be altered to fit the image.
I am very happy for the choice of Alice. Exactly how I pictured her. Hmm, I thought Carisle had blonde hair, and I thought Esme was 26….
Though, otherwise I am estatic! I cannot wait for the movie to be released!

for me, i like the choice of carlisle and esme, very fitting. for victoria, do you guys realise that she does not have that cruel look? she looks rather innocent

I don’t know if the info is correct, but a bio of Catherine Hardwicke (Yahoo Movies) described Nikki Reed NOT as stepdaugther, but as “the daughter of a former boyfriend with whom she had remained close.” Catherine co-wrote the screenplay for “Thirteen,” with Nikki and won the 2003 Sundance Film Festival’s Director’s Award for the movie. One can’t blame Catherine for having some loyalty to Nikki!
I think they’re all perfect, especially Alice……hopefully Jasper and Emmet will be announced soon….waiting anxiously!!!

Esme: Perfect!!!!!! Seriously, she is exactly who I had in mind when I read twilight! I could never think of her name, just her face!!
Alice: Oh. My. God!!!!!!!! She’s got the face and the hair, exactly as I pictured alice!! I never liked Rachel Leigh Cook, no offense.
Victoria: She’s really good. I really liked her on “life on a stick” a very short lived comedy series by fox from a few years back…anyway she’s very pretty! She’ll be good. I never really pictured victoria to look so soft, but I’m sure she’ll do very well!!
Rosalie: I’m not going to say anything about her hair…they can dye that without any problem. She’s pretty. I know she’s really good friends with the director, Catherine. They wrote the movie “thirteen” together. Hopefully she’ll do well!

LOVING Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, he was great in Fastlane (if anyone remembers that show). Not quite sold on the casting of Rosalie though. I am sure it will all come together, I guess they can’t do everything exactly like the book. The movie needs some originality.

Sometimes I think I’m the only one who loves the idea of Rob as Edward…..:( I think he’s going to be wonderful as Edward. I did just read on Stephanie’s website that they’re looking for stand-ins for Rob and they need to have shoulder length hair….hmmmmmmmm. I don’t ever remember Edward’s hair being that long…am I wrong?

I really like the choices for Victoria and Alice. Carlisle and Esme I can live with.
But I don’t like Nikki Reed as Rosalie. Rosalie has become one of my favourites and the actor to play her should match the description. She’s supposed to be blonde, very pale, tall and stunningly beautiful.
Nikki is beautiful, but in her way. I hope they pale her and dye her hair blonde but I really doubt Nikki will do it for the role. With the director being her friend, why would she have to? I bet CH would let her do a lot of things and Nikkis casting leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
But we can’t change it.
I hope for the best now… maybe they can make Nikki look A LOT more like Rosalie. If they do that she’ll be able to pull off Rosa, because she is a talented actress afterall.
But if they don’t dye her hair I’ll be furious. :/
Nope, Edward’s hair isn’t that long in the book. Seems like they are taking liberties with appearances. Jacob has the longer hair (after he turns werewolf anyway). I have also liked Rob as Edward from the beginning. I know a lot of people don’t agree with me here, but I really think he’ll do an amazing job. I can’t wait for this movie!
They will pale the vampires–I hope that Rosalie is BLOND, yes, but I’m fine with the choices. Now I want my JASPER. Wahhhhhh. But this is EXCELLENT. I really like the choices for Esme and Alice. Carlisle….I will learn to live with that. THANKS SO MUCH!
i love who they picked for Alice, Esme, and Victoria i think they are perfect. Alice looks just about the same as she does in my head!
Just to let all of you guys know, I saw on the extra’s casting post, that for Rosalie’s double they are looking for someone with long blonde hair and for Alice’s double they want short dark hair. So these are all steps in the right directions. Hope this will settle some of your worries
OMG. perfect Alice. back when i heard they were first making a movie I seached high and low for the perfect Alice. never came across anyone as perfect as Asley Greene. the others i did have choices, but none so far (except Robert Pattinson, he was one of my original edwards) came true.

I love the choice for Alice and Esme. The others are fine. Kristen is fine for Bella. Robert is quite good for Edward, they just need to make him look more erm, neat! Carlisle is prety good and the person portraying the rest are quite alright!
I am very pleased with all the choices! Although, like many, Rosalie is a bit…not what I imagined! I know that they look different in everyones head so I won’t dwell on it! I’m sure she can pull it off wonderfully…or I hope! ALICE IS GREATGREATGREAT! I agree the shorter hair would pull off the book better due to the fact of her past in an asylum. Esme is nice! I figued more…older? Softer in the face? But overall ITS GREAT! Now, JasperJasperJasper please!
I will also be sure to have a STROKE IF THEY DON’T MAKE NIKKI REED as BEAUTIFUL as Rosalie.

Its very possible they are requesting long hair for Edward’s stand in to that they can then cut and style it to an exact match for Robert. And its not like that list is all that accurate, they have Carlisle listed as a girl for heavens sake. Please don’t spaz everyone, it was a general list typed by a admin assistant who obviously made a few typos.
ok i dont like rosalie that much but oh well. THe person for alice is prettier than the person for rosalie, and in the book rosalie is supposed to be like the prettiest. And all i have to say is where is Emett and Jasper?!?!? I hope we find those out soon!!
I was just curious about the hair statment for Edward. I’ve seen some pictures of Rob where he has the perfect “Edward hair” style and hoped that was what they were going for in the movie….I think Rob is absolutely adorable and no matter what they do to his hair, think he’ll make Edward proud!!!!

I also think the guy playing carlisle is great! I always pictured carlisle with dark hair. I also pictured edward in black and white, don’t know why everything else was in color but our beautiful edward was in black and white…

I’m disappointed.
I just checked out somethings on Carlisle (Peter Facinelli). He is married to Jennie Garth (of 90210 fame) and they have a 10 year old daughter named Luca Bella. I thought that was a neat coincidence! I think he will be great.
He is in his thirties, but can definitely pass for a young doctor of say 25. He has a good range for age with his looks. I guess these guys like the scruffy look, but if you go through his picks on IMDB he has some great headshots that look very angelic!
Kim…..glad to hear you are a fan of Robert too. I think he’s yummy and don’t think he’ll disappoint in his portrayal of Edward. His square jaw and gorgeous eyes speak volumes.
I also think the actress playing Esme is PERFECT. She has that sweetness about her that makes Esme so endearing. It’s all coming together so nicely, isn’t it??
i happy with the casting so far…i kinda dont see the girl playing the part of victoria to look like her…i think is beacause i haven’t seen her with the red hair or acting…anyways i dont care if she looks like her or not as long as their making the movie…thats what matters to me ^_^
I was a little worried when i saw that carlise and esme were a tad older than i pictured, but i think for the screen if carlise and esme were closer to the ages of the cullen “teens” it would appear off or even a little creepy…Also I am super happy for Alice and Rosalie looks good too and the woman playing Victoria looks like she walked out of the book and onto my computer its scary….and thats all i have to say…
ooo and i saw the huge list of prior acting experience each member of the cast has and that is amazing it seems the people in the movie are going to do a great job I CANT WAIT!!
