A Christmas Message from Stephenie
Posted by Twilight_News_Updates - 23/12/07 at 08:12 amStephenie posted a new blog message over at her MySpace page. She has finished the rough draft of Breaking Dawn! YEAH! AND THE CROWD GOES WILD!! This doesn’t mean that the book is finished, though. It means that the ROUGH draft is finished. For those of you that write fan fiction, it means that the beta readers haven’t even looked at it yet… and we’re not talking about ten pages of a fan fic! We’re talking about 775 pages of a novel that needs to be edited. So PLEASE don’t start pestering her about having the book come out early since it is "done." She reminded us that it took her about a year and a half to two years from rough draft of Twilight to getting the book on the store shelves. But she says not to panic! She and Little Brown will do everything they can to get the book out by the fall of 2008.
She also gives us some really great statistics to compare all the books. Twilight was 475 pages on the computer and 498 pages in book form. New Moon was 528 pages on the computer and 564 pages in book form. Eclispe was 611 pages on the computer and 629 in book form. And, as I already said, Breaking Dawn currently checks in at 775 pages on the computer!!! This is before editing, though, so that number will probably change. Still, she guestimates that the book will be around 800 pages. WOO HOO!!! WAY TO GO STEPHENIE!!!
If that’s not a great Christmas gift to us fans, I don’t know what is!

Don’t change narrators
bella is the best narrator if you change it we will miss everything
if you do have 2 change the narrator then make it edward so we don’t miss the wedding

I write in my free time since I’m still in school and writing that much in the amount of time that she has had with 2 little boys is phenomenal! I’m really glad she has that kind of talent!
