So, we are now running the Lexicon on two servers: the main page on one and the message boards on another. This is server upgrade 5 & 6 in case anyone is keeping track. When the Robert Pattinson news broke, we we’re having some unrelated problems anyway. Things went from bad to worse with the volume. To paraphrase our server company, "Do you people realize you’ve had over 300,000 hits in the last half hour? What the heck kind of site are you people running?" So we are now back alive and running.
We’ve made some repairs, such as the Forkscasts being back up. If anything seems amiss let us know we may have missed something. Kudos to Darkseid for dealing with all of this. Without him, we wouldn’t be running right now.
hey! again, I’m glad the lex is back. But SO many people seem so dissapointed about Robert…..it makes me sad!
He wasn’t my first option for Edward, either, but I’m trying not to be that pessimist about him! He’s a good actor, though he look a little strange… I’ve been unable to decide if I think he’s hot or ugly….jajaja
But I REALLY hope he takes Edward seriously!
I think I just died. Robert looks nothing like edward to me. I can deal with it though. He has huge eyebrows. Maybe they will fix him up for the movie. Robert is not hot though.
I think I will be ok as long as my picture of edward isn’t distorted by the movie.

On the Edward casting – AMAZING. I think Robert will do an excellent job (I can’t promise, but I believe it and will willingly eat my words if I’m wrong). If you doubt his acting abilty/ability to look like Edward, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-2uJq3x6BU and watch the alternate ending of Vanity Fair with him in it. He even SOUNDS like Edward, to me, lol. Trust me, he looks much better moving than in just a picture (he doesn’t seem to photograph well…). Give him a chance!

Oh, I forgot: there’s a comment from SM on her myspace saying that 1) he can do a flawless American accent, 2) he and Kristen have good chemistry, and 3) he has read ALL 3 BOOKS!!! So he’ll have a better perspective of Edward, and be able to “get” him a little bit better. Just some info!
Random comment: I hope that Robert Pattinson has read the first chapter of Midnight Sun. It would probably give him insite to his character from Edward’s point of view, rather than just Bella’s. But i’m really excited about him– very nice jaw line and cheek bones, very attractive.

Robert looks like a good edward but then lots of actors do. He has got a good jawline too! Has he read the Twilight series of books entirely?

All right, the lex is back! I was having major troubles with getting on this site. When I got on I saw that Edward was casted, and my stomach did flips! Anyways, I’m not surprised at the number of people that are coming to the lex, that’s just how awesome of a site this is!

she said that he’s read all the books, has good chemistry with Kristen, and that he can do a perfect american accent

i was so depressed that i couldn’t find out who was edward at first, so then i went to stephenie’s site, and it wouldn’t show up on my friends computer (i was at their house)
and then i finally went on myspace and found it!
lol, the second i saw that the lex was down i knew that edward had been cast, and instantly went to try and get on. so i googled it, and managed to get on the message boards. i saw people talking about him, and then i knew! my friends aren’t that happy with him, and i’m not sure. having never seen the hp movies (yeah, i know, crazy right?) i have nothing to judge by, so i’m trying not to. it’s sorta working.
but i’m so happy to have the lexicon back!! it was crazy without it! thanks everyone who made it happen!!
Thank you so much for getting the lex back up! I all most passed out when I found out that Edward had been cast and I couldn’t figure out who it was! I was running around the house in circles screaming:
“OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!! They cast Edward!”
repetitivly. Then the neighbors complained from their yard, to which my twilight-crazed self reponded:
“STOP SCREAMING?!?!? BUT THEY HAVE AN EDWARD!!!”
but yeah…I probably depend on this site too much… oh well. who needs a life when you have fictional characters to stalk?

Thank you! i was panicking when i couldn’t get on. i tried everything to get on. i even went to a friends house to try her computer thinking my was some how broken.
But as for Robert Pattinson he wasn’t my first pick to play Edward, well he wasn’t any of them. But after i thought about it more and Googled him, i think he’s so perfect.
Now, who’s going to be Jacob?
OK, this has nothing to do with the website being back on but, I really wish Henry Cavill was chosen to be Edward. He is just perfect. He’s the way Edward is pictured in my head. I wish Stephenie had a say in this. He’s only 24, it’s not that old. There are a lot of actors out there who are almost 30, play as teenagers, and pull it off really good. I shouldn’t complain though. But I’m very sad.:(
