Items from Twilight Teez

Posted by pelirroja - 27/11/07 at 04:11 pm
UPDATE

The signature edition of the bracelet has been sold out, however they still have the classic edition available. Any questions, email the folks over at Twight Teez and they’ll be happy to help.

Twilight Teez, the site that Stephenie has officially approved to sell Twilight merchandise like the two word slogan tee shirts, has just branched out into a new and exciting product.  If you would like to discuss the bracelet and/or ask questions about it, please visit the Twilight Teez forums and blog.  This post is now closed to comments to help avoid the unnecessay back lash from some members of the fandom.  Officially, I would like to say that Twilight Teez worked with Stephenie on the project to make the bracelet as close as possible to the one described in the book while keeping it affordable and durable.  If you honestly think you can do better than this on a mass market scale and still maintain the integrity of the jewlery, then more power to you.

In the words of site owner Brian (aka Schadeboy on the Lexicon):

I’m writing to let you know that the bracelet (a replica of the charm bracelet Bella receives in Eclipse) is now online and ready for taking pre-orders.

We have two versions; a Classic Edition and a Signature Edition. The Classic is just the bracelet and charms with a nice storage bag.

The Signature Edition is the same as the classic except that it is limited to a numbered 213 (number 1 is going to Stephenie) and includes a certificate of authenticity with Stephenie’s signature on it.  SOLD OUT

I’ve been waiting FOREVER for this! :P I’m definately ordering one tonight, even though $80.00 is a little pricey for me… ;)

  • Brianna says:

I thought in the book it said that the wolf was made of wood, not copper. doesn’t it. o well it doesn’t matter all that much, especially cause i could never afford something of that price even though it is a good price for it.

  • Vampire_Blood says:

I do think it’s a bit expensive, but what can i say? swarvoski crystals are quite expensive! i saw some at a fair eariler this month, and they do’nt come cheap.

anyhow, my question is, the special signed edition one…are there only 213? and once u recieve 213 orders for it, it will no longer be on sale? or as in out of all the special edition ones, 213 will be numbered but all will have the signed certificate thing right and will be continued to be sold?

  • emilyinforks says:

yeah. i bought the signaure collection bracelet. it’s alot to spend this time of year! but….. i had to!

  • Future Mrs. Bridget Black says:

Oh MY Carlisle I HAVE TO HAVE IT!

  • udazzleme says:

Yes, the wolf was made out of wood in the book. On Twilight Teez blog, it explains why they made it out of copper. I don’t care what it is made out of, I want one soooo badly!!!!

  • Schadeboy says:

I know Pel and the others who run this site hate when the comments turn into conversation, so I won’t go into a long explanation here as to why the wolf on our charm is not made from wood. I will only point you to our blog post about the bracelet, which can be found at http://blog.twilightteez.com/?p=46

swarovski heart can be bought for barely $6, and sterling silver chains are pretty cheap too. if you don’t want to buy one of these, you can always make one for yourself. honestly, i don’t see myself paying that kind of money for it….

And no one is forcing you to. If you don’t want it, don’t buy it.  You don’t just pay for the raw materials which are the crystals, the sterling silver (note not plate) of a decent weight, custom copper casting. You also pay for people’s time, talent, and work.  I am honestly mystified at people having a problem with anyone selling a quality signature item at market value. Judging by sales, at least 213 people feel the same because the signature edition is sold out.

  • The Weasel says:

I just wanted to say how excited I am that I was able to order a signature edition. I am so happy that something like this was made and thank you.

  • Georgia says:

Just as an aside here… yes people can make their own… But as a jewelry artist myself there is nothing so frustrating as hearing someone say “I can do that myself for less money” Perhaps… But it will take you time and effort as well. You pay not only for supplies when you buy something like this (unless you are buying something cheap off the assembly line that was imported from another country where they pay slave wages and use crap materials…) The price for this is very fair.

  • Van Helsing says:

You can totally make this thing at home… GEEZ how horrible that this piece of CRAP is 65.00

Are you a member of quality control? Have you seen the item? No, you’re just shooting your mouth off about something you know nothing about.  Please do let us know when you get the copper casting mold that is the exact replica of the wolf as designed by Stephenie, then maybe we’ll take you seriously.

    Pel~

I am surprised by Van Helsing’s comment. I think it has been made “crystal” clear that we can all have our own opinions, but we need to be respectful on this site. If you do not feel that the bracelet is worth the selling price, then don’t buy it. That’s pretty simple.

Honestly, when I first saw the price of $80 for the SE Bella’s Bracelet, I did say “whooza”. Then I thought about it. This is the ONLY bracelet that is authorized by SM, it is the exact replica of what she envisioned as Bella’s Bracelet, it comes with SM’s signature, etc. This whole “Twilight” phenomenon is not going away any time soon. I am sure that YEARS down the road this will STILL be an incredibly popular series. I feel that the money is worth the investment of a collector’s item. AND….I have wanted the bracelet for a long time.

Please try to be civilized and respectful here. We do not always have to agree, but we do need to be polite.

  • DA says:

  • VampireGirl says:

VAN HELSING—–SHUT UP! stop the derogatory comments, please. itz ur opinion- i understand that, but u dont have to be rude about it

  • Isabella says:

    I want it soooo much!

But theres no point! I can’t wear silver! but I still want it!

  • bandogirl says:

i know what you mean. i want it too but the price is sooo expencive. can’t belive that the the speacial edition is already sold out. gotta go bye

  • Steve Martin says:

Van Helsing – Yeah…I remember my first beer.

  • Meg says:

is this a limited thing or are they being to be around?

  • Schadeboy says:

    Meg -
There were initially two versions of the bracelet. We had a Signature Edition (SE) and a Classic Edition (CE). The SE version was limited to only 213 numbered pieces, and that version sold out in less than 36 hours (and put a bit of a strain I think on our poor little web server). The CE version will be around for as long as Stephenie lets us sell it.

  • TwingKey says:
