Items from Twilight Teez

Posted by pelirroja - 27/11/07 at 04:11 pm
UPDATE

The signature edition of the bracelet has been sold out, however they still have the classic edition available. Any questions, email the folks over at Twight Teez and they’ll be happy to help.

Twilight Teez, the site that Stephenie has officially approved to sell Twilight merchandise like the two word slogan tee shirts, has just branched out into a new and exciting product.  If you would like to discuss the bracelet and/or ask questions about it, please visit the Twilight Teez forums and blog.  This post is now closed to comments to help avoid the unnecessay back lash from some members of the fandom.  Officially, I would like to say that Twilight Teez worked with Stephenie on the project to make the bracelet as close as possible to the one described in the book while keeping it affordable and durable.  If you honestly think you can do better than this on a mass market scale and still maintain the integrity of the jewlery, then more power to you.

In the words of site owner Brian (aka Schadeboy on the Lexicon):

I’m writing to let you know that the bracelet (a replica of the charm bracelet Bella receives in Eclipse) is now online and ready for taking pre-orders.

We have two versions; a Classic Edition and a Signature Edition. The Classic is just the bracelet and charms with a nice storage bag.

The Signature Edition is the same as the classic except that it is limited to a numbered 213 (number 1 is going to Stephenie) and includes a certificate of authenticity with Stephenie’s signature on it.  SOLD OUT

    i’m so getting it.

  • Waiting For My Jacob says:

It’s gorgeous, but you are really paying for the sentimental value, as I make jewellery, and can tell the company is making a huge profit.

That’s pretty much what companies do in a capitalistic society. Nothing wrong with it, they are an approved vendor. Given that we are talking sterling sliver, and a Swarovski Crystal just for starters, it’s very inline with other merchandise that has those components.

It’s been a while that I’ve been wanting something like it, and I was planning to make one. This one is awesome and I love it, but I think it’s a bit too expensive. I’ll probably stick to plan A and make my own.

  • Schadeboy says:

Is anyone else getting weird formatting issues with the comments on this post? Or is it just me?

UGH!  I was praying it was just my computer.  Does it affect the side bar for you too?

  • cami1219 says:

    Oh My!
    that is absolutely gorgeous!
    I’m afraid I must have it….or else I don’t know what I’ll do.

actually, looking at it, I have no idea how I ever lived without it before. Haha. whoever made it did a wonderful job. xD

Schadeboy: I am, in fact, getting weird formatting text with the commenting in this post, as well as with the links on the side of the page. I thought it was just me (because currently I am having computer problems), but apparently I am not alone on this one! =D

(Muahaha….I just remembered my birthday is coming up! I may just get my hands on that precious masterpiece after all! :D )

  • pelirroja says:

    Found it!

Weird tag got inserted and took over the format. In theory it looks fine now.

  • lala-swan says:

    WOW! A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!
I wish I could get one, and I wouldn’t matter much about the money, because I think it worths it!! But I don’t think they’re selling them out of the states, and since I live a little far, well, it’s going to be a little hard to get one :’(
So, you lucky ones who can get it, enjoy for us!

  • Schadeboy says:

Looks great, Pel! The lex is back to normal!

By the way, we just received word from Stephenie herself that she will be personally signing each and every certificate of authenticity for the Signature Edition. Initially, we planned on using a digital version of her signature that she sent to us, as we did not wish to impose upon her with her busy schedule. But she offered, and this news has sent us through the roof with giddiness.

Okay, I’ll admit, it’s my wife that has gone through the roof. Us guys don’t get giddy. We get punch.

  • J.B says:

I made mine a long time ago, but I added (and let’s see who can guess what each means, although they aren’t that hard to figure out, lol): apple, motorcycle, car, music note, crystal heart (from Swarovski, it’s big, and was $4.95 CA), motorcycle, movie tickets, Washington state charm, campfire (2 meanings there), baseball, and a wolf (not in that order mind you). It cost me … $45.00 CA altogether…and I love it.

  • Schadeboy says:

Doh! I meant punchy. Nothing like a typo to ruin a good joke.

lala-swan: we do sell internationally so don’t hesitate if you REALLY want one ;-)

  • Georgia says:

I saw those earlier… I think they are great:) I have had people suggest that I make some twilight themed pendants… But I never have because I assume there are some legalities there… I really like those bracelets though… maybe I will treat myself.

  • Vecca says:

O.O I WANT IT SO MUCH! *adds to christmas list even though it probably won’t make it in time*

  • Kate says:

    IM SO GETTING THIS!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • morgan says:

    so pricey! but so gorgeous!!!!!

  • Dano says:

I love being a grown up!
I called my husband and said “I know what you can get me for Christmas”, and then I read the red print, so I said “scratch that I know what you can get me for my birthday, now what’s your credit card number?”

Thank you to the Lexicon for advertising for Twilight Teez.
    I LOVE THIS FANDOM

  • Sarahh says:

omg i want it soooooooooooo baaaaad. but i have no money so i think that one day somehow i’ll make it. hopefully.

  • Kiki says:

It’s really pretty, and I -really- want one, but it’s so expensive! o.o I know it’s worth it, but I’m totally broke. xD

  • We expected some negativity, but I’m having a hard time not feeling slightly insulted by a couple comments. There’s a lot that people do NOT know that was/is involved in bringing this unique piece of jewelry to fruition in the EXACT replica (in a durable fashion for the wolf) enivisioned and officially approved BY Stephenie Meyer. There’s significantly more to the Signature Edition to justify the higher price as well – some of it is just a surprise for the purchaser.

There is no HUGE profit to be had from these sales. We had gone back and forth regarding the price and its affordability. The quality and HAND craftedness of the components for a non-themed specific bracelet would cost well over $100 anywhere else! Ex: Nordstrom’s silver plated (eventually wears off) bracelet with one swarovski crystal. Disney even has lesser quality stuff for some of their themed items and it can be difficult to justify that kind of financial output. You do what works for you.

I’m highly impressed with the home made charm bracelets and encourage those that want to do that because it has true value and meaning as well. Sentimental value is highly subjective….

  • Cathy says:

It’s gorgeous!!! I’m SO getting one tonight. The price is just what I’d expect to pay for the “authorized” bracelet…in fact, I thought it would be more!! I can’t wait to wear it!!

  • Sunny says:

Oh yeah, this beauty is comin’ home to mama! It’s exactly the way I pictured it…thanks for making it real!!

  • Jessi says:

*sigh* I wish I hadn’t already asked for something of the same price for Christmas. Hm, maybe I can weasel it as a very early bday/graduation present. Either way I MUST have it. Hehe

  • Buffie says:

I don’t believe it – my boyfriend is getting the bracelet for me! (Screeeam!) I’m pretty giddy:D

  • Georgia: There certainly are legalities regarding Twilight themed products and with the movie coming out it will become much stickier – even for us who have an official contract with Stephenie Meyer. It’s all a very interesting and uniquie position to be in right now ;-)

BTW, I have enjoyed your blog and have very similar sentiments with owning a successful biz and raising 5 of my own children :D

  • Georgie says:

    EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

2 nights ago, I had the brilliant idea to make a copy of Bella’s bracelet (and I was wondering where to get a wooden wolf charm).
Today I checked the Lex page and low behold – THERE IS AN OFFICIAL ONE. Not only an official one, but one that you also get a signature from Stephanie HERSELF (as the chances of her doing a book signing in Australia seem very slim).

I have died and I am in HEAVEN. I am SO HAPPY that they ship International.

I tripped and fell and bumbled my way to my room, to my wallet, to my Credit Card. Then all the way back to the computer, thinking the whole time “WHAT IF THEY SELL OUT BY THE TIME I GET BACK!”.

I CAN NOT wait to get it. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

  • IrishTea says:

    hahaa so clever :)

  • Georgia says:

    Twilight Teezer Mom,

Thanks so much :) It sometimes seems a lot to balance, but it is something I LOVE! Please pardon my rant from my blog… It was one of those days…

I think your bracelets are adorable, and would certainly pay the money, especially for the special edition one. I don’t think that the price is all that bad. But then again… I have several pendants that I sell, not even on a chain for 65 dollars and up… And to many people it is worth it.

  • Isobel says:

YAY!! i ordered a signature edition bracelet for christmas!! im soo excited! how long do they take?.. also i didn’t get any kind of confirmation, is that normal?.. *looks worried* i hope so! yay im soo excited!

  • Nayamis says:

Yay ^_^ I hit the “refresh”-Button about 5 times a day, starting with the announcement of that bracelet X) Finally, I was able to purchase one *giddygiddy* X)
In my opinion, the price is ok. I paid for the Special Edition and I had thought it would cost much more o.o Anyway ^^ Now I have my own christmas present X) yay X)
But I wonder how much that heart will sparkle… Swarovsky is great in making glass-stones sparkle like rainbows but it’s hard to tell from a photo =S And I’m picky in sparkly things… Anyway. I never owned a bracelet before, no matter what, that piece of art is worth it :) Thanks for letting us buy it ;)

  • bellaluv says:

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i sooooooooooooooo want it!!!!!!!!! but babysitting doesnt pay well enough these days now does it? oh well my birthday is in lesss than 2 weeks so yippeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

  • Kristina Cullen says:

I really want it, but i’m broke. :(

  • Norwegian says:

I like it too, but I think it would be a little wierd to use it, because:
    1. I don’t have a love triangle, and it just feel wrong to buy it to myself when it’s sort of a love- proof.
    2. I think it belong to Bella
    3. or at least Stephenie Meyer

  • Kim says:

I am showing it to my mom as soon as I can…I want it! It’s so pretty!!

  • AnnaBella says:

i dont know if i will even be allowed to have one…hmph

  • Epona says:

I notice alot of people are commenting about the price, 65 dollars is equal to about 44 euro.
Maybe its just my country but for a sterling silver bracelet with swarovski crystal to boot is quite reasonable.
A sterling silver charm bracelet online from argos (which is known for reasonable cheap prices is) 32.99euro (in a retail shop god knows what price it could be but definitly would be more)
same size Swarovski heart crystal set in rhodium = 42euro, so say 32 euro without the rhodium
    thats 32 + 33 = 65 euro which would be about 95dollars.
So seems to me for what your getting, its resaonable! and its the exact replica.

  • BoysfromBooks says:

I know it’s probably an expensive price but no one would get me it for 65 dollars. I am saving money from right now till I get to the price!!!
Also, I am in love with both of them

  • Alice says:

OMG. That bracelet is beautiful!!! Sixty-five dollars might be a little out of my current price range, but it’s definatly going to be worth it!!!

  • Katie says:

id totally pay for it XD
i hope itll still be around for my birthday!!

  • Meg says:

Ahhhhh i want one sooooooo bad! i was waiting for those to come out, it is a very good idea.

  • sam says:

OMG i totally want it!!!!!!!!!! i am getting it for chrismas cant wait

  • Tasha says:

Oh, “Twilightteezermom” you made all of them? Wow! I make jewellery and had actually been planning on making a similar one for my friend’s christmas present a while ago too, that crazy that they are selling them! I understand that they are pretty high in price, but as a fellow jeweller, it really does take a lot of work! I haven’t decided if I wil buy one yet for myself, but for those who don’t make jewellery, this is a unique piece. If you don’t know where to go to buy the sterling silver chain and swarovski (cheap) the bracelet could be pricy. It is a good deal in comparison to the price it would be in stores. It’s gorgeous!
