Summit Entertainment has now officially listed Twilight in its pre-production section. They also have a poster mock-up that is heavily based on the original book cover (this is not to say it is the final poster design.).

ok. i know steven strait was mentioned as a good jacob character and unfortunately he is 21.. but i think he would be a lovely edward. have you seen the boys teeth, they are like a vampires. and he makes the kind of uncontrolled angry face i can picture for edward yet a deep calm look. wonderful.

Everyone is wondering why no mention of Victoria, and some other things… Well, Victoria is only important in the books after Twilight, and so far there has NEVER been any mention of making New Moon or Eclipse into movies. Twilight is the only one. It would be fantastic if they would do them all though…
I wouldn’t worry too much about any official summaries. If I recall correctly, the official description of New Moon just happened to forget that, oh yeah, Edward isn’t there for 2/3 of the book. It made it sound like he and Bella just have another wacky vampire adventure.

The description of the movie sounds pretty close to the book…the only difference is that James and Laurent are the Cullens “mortal enemies” which is ironic since none of them are mortal…but thats ok cuz mortal enemy is alot more exciting in a movie sense than they just happend to show up…i just hope the whole movie doesnt circle around James and Laurent..and yeah..where is Victoria?? if any one is a mortal enemy she ends up being one….but it is still amazing they are even making a movie yayness

It sounds like they are serious on bella being sent to forks. But the whole thing with laurent and james sounds like a marketing pitch.

This movie is either going to be awesome or disgraceful. I hope it will be awesome, but there are only so many awesome directors, writers, actors, produders, and crew and people. It will probably be worth seeing only because I love the book so much.

Rosalie: Olivia Wilde [she looks exactly as i pictuered her to be. she has that smolderubg-vampiress look in her. The kind of look that i imagined when i read about her disliking Bella]

I’m very excited that Summit Entertainment finally put Twilight up on their official website. I’m also very glad they’ve largely kept the plot the same. As far as the Cullens knowing James and Laurent before they actually met them in the clearing…..remember from the book that James actually knew Alice from before. He told Bella that Alice was the one and only time his prey had alluded him. He told her that Alice had smelled appealing to him and that the old vampire that turned Alice into a vampire made her safe from him after that vampire had made her into a strong new vampire.

i’m really exited about this but i found a couple of flaws in the description they give of twilight. first off they said, and i quote:
“But what will they do when LAURENT and JAMES, the Cullens’ mortal vampire enemies”
last time i checked Laurent wasn’t their enemy in twilight. it wasn’t till new moon that he went bad. they should have mentioned Victoria who actually plays a big part in the series and goes against them in twilight. and since when were they the cullens mortal enemies. they just happened to be passing by and James saw a challenge (aka they had never met them before).
