According to Stephenie’s website the director of Twilight recently visited Forks to scout locations for the film. There were articles written about the visit in the Forks Forum and the Peninsula Daily News.
The movie and Stephenie also appear on the Internet Movie Database. Those with the professional version of the site can see a bit more including a rumor that Emily Browning is up for the part of Bella. Keep in mind just a rumor, there are many instances of these rumors not being founded. A recent example would be that Ralph Fines and Eowan MCGreggor were to have played Sirius Black and Remus Lupin in the Prisoner of Azkaban. Info on the IMDB on any film, especially a film in the development stage, is highly subject to change.
We have no supporting evidence yet that there is a casting notice out yet from Summit Films, but we have heard rumor. We are trying to get details and we will report facts as soon as we have them. We don’t want to feed the rumor mill here. As soon as we have what we consider accurate, reliable information on casting and filming we will post it.
I just went through and either edited or deleted a whole bunch of comments. There is an entire forum for casting lists and discussions on the message boards. Please use it instead of this page.

I really hope they hold open auditions. It would be best if they casted unknowns, I agree, and there are lots of gems out there without agents.
. Besides us girls have probably given A LOT of thought about how Bella should be portrayed. I bet Emily Browning hasn’t even read the book.

Im extremely nervous about this…. Remember how much they butchered Harry Potter when they made the HP movies? And most of us are probably more attached to Twilight than to the Harry Potter books…

I guess we don’t have a release date?? I know it’s "800 days until 2010!" But is that calculating to January 1st, 2010? I highly doubt that’s when it will be released. They’ll probably release it late summer/ early fall, because of the genre. :}

I REALLY want Gerard Way to do Edward. when i read the book I always pictured Gerard as Edward. (Maybe because I have the BIGGEST crush on him!) Mikey Way would do great too, maybe even Frank. Sorry having a fan girl moment. If you look on the website they have a sound track thing, and it has one of my most favorite My Chemical Romance songs on it. (totally gonna buy it!)

I relly hope that the movie is as good as the book. dous any one know the name of the derecter of the movie?
It’s a bit hard to catch my breath–I’m unbelievably excited. It’s difficult to do, but I guess we must all bide our time and read up (like we all haven’t already read each book, like, fourteen times) and gird our loins through tedious waiting. Even while our lives will sluggishly creep along awaiting the highly anticipated movie, we must, as true Twilight fans, help one another out! We must stay vigilant in such dreary times!
Oh, and never forget that the next books will indeed be published before the movie. Thank goodness. I’m not sure if we could survive that long without out favorite Vamps, Weres, and human-although-dreams-of-being-a-vampire girl.
