A couple of reminders
Posted by pelirroja - 18/09/07 at 07:09 pmThere will be a segment on Stephenie and the Twilight Saga that airs this Saturday, September 22nd on the Today Show. Set your recording devices, as of now we have no firm time as to when the segment will air. Since the Today Show is a news and human interest show, if there is a major international story that breaks, the segment could get bumped.
Check your local NBC station for exact times, this will vary depending where you live. In the Eastern Time Zone, the show is advertised as airing from 7:00am-9:00am.
A crew from the Today show did some background filming at the Fairless Hills, PA signing. So, lookout to see if you or Lexiconer friends made it into the final cut.
Just as a reminder, the content that is up here at the Lexicon such as our graphics, timeline, mythology sections, and character bios took hours (not to mention money) to research, write, edit, and upload. It is our intellectual property. No site, unless they have the permission of Alphie or me, has the right to copy that information. It’s plagiarism, it’s stealing, it’s just plain wrong.
If you have copied our content to your MySpace, Geocities, LiveJournal, etc. take it down. We don’t like writing strongly worded emails, but if you have our content reproduced (whether it’s for a role playing game or something else) it needs to come down now. The sites that have permission to use our content are the foreign language versions of the Lexicon that you can find in our links section. So, if you see our content being used elsewhere, please let Alphie or me know, because it was definitely not approved.

Will there be a recording of the show up? Because it’s airing on Yom Kippur and there’s no way I’m watching TV then. Out of curiousity, do Stephenie’s posts on the lex forum count as intellectual property, or can those be copied to other sites?
~~No, that’s okay. And actually, using the information here on your own website is fine, You just can’t copy word for word. I’ve seen other sites who do similar things and who have refrences the lex as a source, but their wording and format is their own. I just don’t want to see my word copied word for word at another site without my permission.

It’s easy enough just to place a link to the Lexicon; what’s the point of just copy/pasting? Hopefully you guys have less of an issue with it after this post, with all the work you put in this is something you shouldn’t have to worry about.

I’m think everyone’s so grateful for the Lexicon in gereral, where would we all hang out if we didn’t have it?!
