The Fairless Hills, PA signing
Posted by pelirroja - 14/09/07 at 01:09 pmI went to the signing at the Barnes and Nobel at the Fairless Hills Mall. I recorded my adventure.
Here I am scoping out the line right after I arrived at 3:10. I missed getting a spot in the seating area by four people, darn that Trenton traffic!
Next I am videotaping the line after getting my wristband. Mercifully they snaked the line into the shade. I don’t know about anyone else, but I got a sunburn standing in the blazing sun for half an hour before they decided to move the line.that
Next, here’s a random shot of what the place looked like about an hour before Stephenie got there. I camped out on the edge of the balcony to tape. Fortunately the very cool Dizzy and hubby were there to keep my company. Dizzy took some great photos and we’ll put those up soon. I met a number of great Lexiconers, some who recognized me based on my voice.
And then of course we had the Q&A. You can here me groaning when someone asked the "period question". I totally loved Stephenie’s response. You can also hear me ask my question about the Volturi. I was going to ask a question about Carlisle, but it verged on speculation and what might happen in future books. So, I played it safe and asked a question that came up in our chat.

I was there! First person in line! You can see me towards the end of the one video, I am the boy in the cloak. I was sitting right in front of Mrs. Meyers and I taped the entire Q/A, so if anyone is interested go over to youtube and look up my username which is fantasyfreak1456, it is split in four parts. I emailed the videos and pics to the Lexicon and have bot really gotten any responce in return. Anyways, the people supposedly filming for The Today Show interviewed me, I am kinda excited but afraid, I do not really want to see myself on national television, it is gonna be quite an interesting thing to see. XD!

i hope someone makes transcripts of the QAs, that sound was just sucky!!! I will admit that I gave up watching!!
What was the answer to how the Volturi travel? I couldn’t hear it, but now I want to know even more.
I too also taped the Q/A, If you click my name, it will take you to my Myspace, and the Q/A is all there broken up into four parts, there was no one else in front of me, hope it helps!
Could someone do a transcript of the questions? English is not my first language and I couldn’t understand much hehe

i was number 2 in line! we had front row seats in the chairs. it was amazing. i liked how it was very organized, and stephenie did great. it was so nice to meet everyone and stephenie. it was well worth the wait. thank you so much for coming to PA. hope you come back soon!
I just got back from the Alpharetta, GA signing. It was awesome despite the long wait. P.S. Stephenie, if you’re reading this (which I doubt you are, lol) I want the shirt you were wearing! So cute!
i am unbelievably proud to admit I WAS THER!!!! it was amazing!!!Stephenie’s so nice! But i have to say, that some people need to check out the net for Q and A’s. More than half of the questions she answered were already here on the Lex. Come on people, please start asking something NEW!

i got there at like 3 and didnt get in until like 4:30, but then i got my wristband and i went back home (i live like 5 min away) and didnt come back till 6:15 and the place was PACKED. i wish i hadnt left. i would have gotten an awesome spot.

I was THERE!!! That was so amazing!! Stephenie even answered my question while she was signing my books – all five of them. I met some really great people there too, while we waited, we had some great discussions, and I got a lot of questions as to why I had about 70 post-its in each book, twilight fans are awesome!!
I totally agree Twilight fans rock!
So I’m not the only one who post-its my books? I have so many doodle-y “wish I was a vamp” stuff in there; it drives my friends up the wall!

um, the answer to the volturi plane travel thing was that
Jane and the Volturi are civilized and when they have to use public transportation they will…idk that is just in short, i am sure pel will do something more about it (like an actual qoute)

that line was so long! we were one of the first 50 though and were right in the row before the video tape was taken (thank god we arent in it very much haha) it was wonderful though, totally worth it. and we are SO GLAD we brought lawn chairs hahaha
i was surprised though, this signing had so much more screaming than the Eclipse Prom in Arizona!
I too sent the Lexicon an offer for my pictures, I haven’t gotten a response either. Oh well. Seth responded to be and I gave him my pictures, so he’ll use them on Stephenie’s tour section on her site. Weee.

Everyone watch the Today Show next Saturday morning, I asked the woman from the show and she said next Saturday, she was ALMOST positive; sometimes dates get moved around.
But yeah, this signing was so incredibly fun. At the beginning of one of Pel’s awesome clips, I am “the boy in the black shirt” who asked “why is Billy Black in a wheelchair”
And someone posted a comment here about some of the questions people were asking. I KNOW! People ask some stupid questions that have been answered all over the internet. Pshhh…
So I am not the only one who has not gotten any response from Lexicon about pictures and videos sent in. Anyways, your question was better than my plainly obvious one. Definitely will be watching Today Show the 22nd.

hey i was there 2!!! we were like one of the last 50 or so people to get wristbands but we got good seats in one of the corridors in the front! : ) it was fun i agree and defintely worth the wait!

I was there. The line was extremely long! But my friends and I got there around 1:30, and were in row E. It was amazing.
I was there too! It was amazing, and Stephenie was so nice! But there were SO many people there by the time I got there, but ah well. It was incredible anyway. :]
What did Stephenie say the name of the band that Bella bought tickets for Alice and Edward was?
The band was Muse. That made me happy, since I really like Muse.
I know what you mean about school; mine doesn’t get out till 2:15, and then I had to rush right over from the student parking lot. Lucky for me, my school itself is only about five minutes away, and I was in the first sixty or so people. I got actual seating in row ‘F.’
I felt really bad for all the people in dresses and heels that had to stand the whole night (I never left the bookstore, so I didn’t get a chance to dress up).
In the videos, I’m the one asking about Alice’s story and who she has in mind for the next narrative.
After I successfully got my books signed, I met up with a couple of friends by the (now empty) seats and we popcorn read the bedroom scene in Eclipse very loudly.

i was there!! best high of my life! i was standing at the back–like right next to the person who stephenie was like “you’ll have to shout so i can hear you.” at first i almost thought it was me (but i’m never that lucky) and then someone else started talking…i forget what the question was.
haha i got there at like 4…and my wristband was J. OMG it was sooo crowded!! thank god my friend sara was there to let me uh join her and be her sister ^.^ that night i was her mom’s daughter (it helped so much with like sticking together and not losing track of them and getting lost and stuff!) but omg it was so crowded! and my dad returned at like 6:15 to give me money to get something to eat (those cinnamon rolls were good!) and while we were waiting for my food everyone started like cheering and we were like “is she here???” and i got my food and we ran upstairs, but of course she wasn’t there yet, it would have been much louder. we would have been like wayyy closer if we had been upstairs like all night but alas i needed nourishment.
stephenie was so nice! i was kind of mad at myself though that i didn’t ask her my question when she was signing my book. but i still had a high that night! ^.^
Yay! I was there with my friend! We tried to count all of the guys that were there and there weren’t that many (including him!)! I had to stay so late to get a signing and then I had to get home and do all of my homework!!! But it was SO worth it!
Will we get to see a transcript of this? I’d love to hear the questions, but my YouTube repeatedly blows its nose at me. XD
