I adore the Harry Potter books, but after reading the twilight series(and screaming for absolute joy over each of them)I can’t lie and say I’m still devoted to Harry cause gosh Edward stole my heart before I even started reading!

ok, i HAVE to speak up.

i am a DIE HARD Harry Potter fan but im also reading Twilight and i have to say that Potter is a little better when it comes to the style of writing. The Potter stories and really complex and its amazing the way jk rowling managed to weave it, neatly finishing it with Deathly Hallows.

I dont know how I feel about this. I know that harry potter wont forever be on the number one spot in book charts, but i guess this was just too soon to happen.

im feeling a great wave of mixed emotions right now. i just read this news and my jaws just dropped open. im DEFINITELY still loyal to harry potter, though.

Let’s just remember that if it werent for Harry Potter, most young adults wont even VISIT a bookstore. Harry Potter is the book that encouraged reading among the youth and it was, after all, the FIRST to make it to the top of the list, notb the twilight books.

Harry and Edward are both great characters, with both MASSIVE FAN BASES, so try to be a bit more sensitive.

Stop making this a competition! They’re both utterly rad.

One correction: As a matter of fact (ehem..and logic) HP appeals to a wider range of readers. I would be pretty worried if a bloke read Twilight.

It’s not as popular here for some reason, and I have made it my mission to spread the word! Haha, kidding.

The Twilight Saga and the HP Series are both absolutely wonderful books (both my favourite books along with CP’s Inheritance!) so refrain from bugging Harry Potter down. *Saying those things wouldn’t help SM’s fanbase at all!* Have you any idea how many fans JKR has?! We need them to appreciate Twilight, not hate it!

What would you feel if they called us hormone-enraged teeny boppers?!

Let’s show them that Twilight fans are people with depth and not just reading books which have a sexy vampire and lovesick teenager!

More power to SM and JKR!!

I LUV EDWARD TOO!!! Just so there’s no confusion. Anyway, I just got done with Eclipse, and I have to say, i’m not surprised it beat harry…No offense meant, I LUV HARRY! It’s just, I think Eclipse and Twilight and all that jazz appeals to a wider range of readers…
