Ah, how I love these Forks-Cast! They always make my frustratingly busy days that much better. I may or may not have told you this before, but you have the cutest laugh, Alphie! And I love your dry wit, Pel--I always imagine your user icon here on the Lexicon when I picture you, and it's just hilarious imagining the icon saying some of the things you do. Good stuff, ladies. Good stuff. :D

(I hope to see another soon!)

Wow. Once again another great podcast. You know, I think I read Twilight sometime in between Alphie and Pel, cause I read it at the end of January/beginning of February. It did take me a few days to read because I had school :( , but I had many late nights staying up late, reading it and enjoying every moment of it.

New Moon on the other hand I got August 21st at about 9:00pm and then I read it until about 5:00 in the morning non-stop. Then the next day I got up at 8:30 to babysit, but as soon as I got home I kept madly reading for hours until I finished.

Now back to Twilight- pretty much the day I finished it I felt I had to get something more out of it so I found Stephenie's site and read pretty much every single page of it and when nothing new seemed to be coming out I was soooo excited when I found out there was a lexicon for Twilight, the lexicon has seriously made me sooooo happy, I visit pretty much every day, new stuff or no new stuff. So I'd really like to thank all you guys on the staff for helping to put everything together!

Oh man! (This is going to be long, so brace yourself!!)

So, I wrote a blog entry about having read Twilight on Saturday, May 13th... Which means... Ok, I think I remember how it happened... *flashback music* Thursday night (11th), I read Chapter 1 and MAYBE Chapter 2. Then I woke up pretty early Friday morning (12th) and read the entire rest of the book in one sitting. I probably didn't even eat. (I feel like I read it REALLY late, compared to you two!)

I remember getting done with the book, closing it, and just exhaling. Then I said, "W-O-W. THAT. WAS. AWESOME." Then I opened the back flap up, to read about the author. And it said, "Stephenie Meyer graduated from Brigham Young University..." WHAT?? SO DID I!?!?!? She's MORMON???? WHOA!!! So, I told my husband, "Jason, that was the best book EVER!!! And the author's MORMON!!!" ... to which he grunted (he was playing Halo 2, so he probably wasn't even listening to me...) So, when I figured out he wasn't going to talk to me (seeing how he was TOTALLY engrossed in his precious video game), I opened back up to the beginning of the book and started again. Yeah. I read it twice in a row... I FREQUENTLY read books in one sitting (I don't usually read such long books), but I NEVER read them twice in a row. I've NEVER done that.

As soon as I finished it the second time (some time on Saturday), I made my husband read Twilight, so I would have someone to talk to about it. But apparently he isn't the "gushing" type (which I probably should have predicted), so I had to "bother" (in a completely Alphie way) my sister and friends to read it. I mean, I had SOOO MUCH TO SAY!!!

Plus, I didn't want to be the ONLY person who was FREAKING OUT because she had to wait THREE MONTHS for New Moon to come out!!! I'm still not sure how I will survive until next Summer and Eclipse. I mean, I'm pretty much dying inside, but, you know... whatever the "publisher" wants to do... WHO CARES about the fans who are having miniature HEART ATTACKS every day that Eclipse isn't out. WHATEVER. Haha...

Anyway, I totally know what you (Alphie) mean about LDS authors... they can be a BIT scary, huh? I mean, you're sitting there reading some adventure-type intense story, and then it's like, "Ummm... why are they throwing around terms like 'Elders' Quorum President'??? TOTALLY WEIRD!!!" When I was first telling people about Twilight, I would say, "And she's MORMON!!!" And people would give me that look... and I'd have to clarify, "Oh, but it's TOTALLY not and LDS book!! It's about VAMPIRES!!!" And then I'd get that OTHER look, and have to say, "But it's TOTALLY not scary!!! It's more of a LOVE story... ... that happens to have vampires in it...."

Anyway, since I've already written about a page, I'll end with one final thought.... I'm also glad that I'm not the only non-teenager who is totally obsessed with these books. I mean, I'm only 22, but there's quite a difference between a 16- or 17-year-old highschooler, and a 22-year-old married college graduate, you know? Anyway, it's just nice to know I'm not the only one. And I just know when I start having kids, they're going to be like, "Oh... mom and her silly YA vampire books....", but I am PERFECTLY ok with that. :)

Anyway, thanks again for doing such a great job with the Lexicon! I use it ALL the time!

I feel like I joined so late! I didn't get the joy of reading Twilight until the beginning of May. By then, there were bunches of people online and the Lexicon was considered the premier place for Twilight information. And then, by the end of June/beginning of July, I had False Dawn finished. I think it's safe to say that Twilight was an inspiration.

Another hilariously entertaining forkscast! I can't wait for the next one! :D

Nashville is coming up soon!!! Yay!!!!!

^^ Another hilarious cast. I really enjoyed it.

I remember when the Twilight fandom was smaller than, um, well, it was very small. It seems that Alphie and I read it at the same time! January was a good Twilight month.

Haha I loved it.

It's true that no one was talking at first. I was on 2 or 3 different forums/websites and no one replied to anything I posted.
